THIS STORY WILL BREAK YOUR HEART. Zidane's community in Kajuru has endured relentless attacks from terrorists since 2016. Over the past decade, more than a thousand people of Adara ethnic group have been slaughtered by terrorists, thousands more have been abducted, & millions paid as ransom. Through the course of this nightmare, not a single terrorist has been arrested, & no prosecution whatsoever. Most of the suspects arrested in connection with the murder of Adara chief in 2018 remain untried to this day. Frustrated by government’s inaction, Zidane & other young men chose to defend their communities against the marauders. Then the unthinkable happened! The immediate past government of Kaduna ordered a military manhunt of Zidane. He was eventually arrested & detained by the army, & tortured for over the course of a year. Then they bundled him to the police, where his torture continued for another three months, before he was finally arraigned in court. Zidane has been to two separate courts. One found him not guilty of murder, & he was discharged & acquitted in 2024. Then came the terrible blow. The second court sentenced him to death by hanging on the 7th of this January. Now this is where the story gets interesting. The suspects arrested for the abduction & the murder of Adara chief in 2018 (were arrested months before Zidane). And by the stroke of the miraculous, Zidane’s trial saw “eventful” conclusions in two separate courts that led to a conviction. But somehow, those hardened suspects, all from the same ethnic stock, are yet to see any courtroom. AMAZING, ISN’T? This is judgement, not justice! Of course, Zidane's lawyers are going to appeal. This is yet another victory for lawlessness, it’s another selective application of the law. It is now a disturbing reality, one rooted in abuse. There is a wicked precedent here: “Self-defense is now criminalized, while the terrorists are freed & rehabilitated. They now get away with mass murder. They are paid, pampered, & reintegrated back into society.” Katsina state just did that. They freed seventy terrorists & called it a “peace deal.” It’s open season for murder, full on terrorism, terror is now incentivized! The soldiers who paid (not only by blood to capture those ragtag militias, but by sweat; they feel terribly betrayed)! I will refresh our minds, in case we forgot: “His name is Victor Solomon, popularly called Zidane. He is a social activist from Adara ethnic group in Kajuru. Zidane has been sentenced to death by hanging (for daring to speak for his people against a bunch of ragtag militias k!lling & pillaging his community in Kaduna state.” Like Sunday Jackson, Victor is one of us…… He is another innocent sentenced to death by hanging. Nigeria: Yet another Christian has been sentenced to death for the crime of self-defense. Victor Solomon (aka Zidane), a Christian who defended his community from Fulani Islamist attacks has been sentenced to death for doing so. Shockingly, he was charged with the same crime in two different state courts. He was acquitted in one but condemned in Kaduna by a Muslim judge. Christians have a right to defend themselves from Islamists who attack them. This is not okay. Pray for Zidane, his family and community. He needs immediate help. #FreeZidane

Here is why I am happy I pay taxes to the Canadian government.. As a Canadian citizen: Firstly, if you understand what true citizenship is all about, then read below.... Upon completing 700 insurable hours of work and you lose your job through no fault of your own (for example, due to shortage of work, or otherwise, bro and sis, you will be automatically entitled to apply and receive employment insurance benefits up to 55% for your previous pay for a period of 52 weeks till you get a new employment. They want to force taxes on you, ask them what they ever offered you as a Nigerian if you ever lost your job since you attained 18 years...Ask them 🤔 Nothing.... Secondly, ask those paid tax propagandists and agents of Nigerian government how many homeless, low-income earners and families receive housing benefits if there is anything like that .... When my wife had our last baby, Mofiyinfoluwa, my wife received free antenatal care and birthed her through CS for free in a top class hospital without paying a dime which ordinary could be up to 50,000 for non-Canadian citizens and continuous follow up to be sure her and the baby are doing well. That's what true citizenship enjoy and its all about... My kids enjoy free and compulsory education and the school bus take them to and back from school for free. Only pay a token for school supplies.. I have never been stopped by a police or law enforcement officer in the last seven years. No one ever asked me "wetin you carry for your trunk." None asked me make I see your paper." Police officers will talk to you like normal being because they get well paid and treated well compared to the Nigerian police officer who guide criminal political class who end up looting their pension and gratuity.... No politician dare loot public funds or taxes because he knows he will face the full wrath of the law and no judges to bribe or buy over... No government officials or province premier will go welcome the Prime Minister with the taxpayer funds. They know that is a precious waste of time and human resources compared to Nigerian governors who don't value time and derive pleasure in wasting public funds that could be judiciously used.. Let me stop here.... When they tell you as a Nigerian that you will start paying taxes from next week, ask them questions 🙄 What have they done in the last 10 years with all the budget allocation for education, health, security, sports, agriculture, defense and many more..... 😳 Hence, I never enjoyed anything for free as a Nigerian before migrating to Canada, can Oga Taiwo and its agent tell Nigerians why do we have to trust them and what are the benefits of paying taxes in Nigeria if not that it will be used to fund the political class and make some criminals richer??? Again, no responsible, empathetic and caring government tax the citizens where the majority are poor. That is purely evil and wickedness.... Sensible Nigerians didn't bargain for this evil government 🙄 😒 No be life we dey live for Nigeria, no let anyone gaslight you oooo #EndTaxLaw in Nigeria now!
