@MarsAutomatic @TravH_2 @F_Edits @CosmonautMarcus your choice tips the scale 1 more towards potentially killing up to half the population. or say, even in overwhelming red wins, with 99.99% choosing it, that still results in 830,000 in the world dead. Reds activate the kill switch. Blues deactivate it for all.

@CosmonautMarcus reds need a scarlet letter or a mark of the beast to distinguish them if it isn’t akready apparent by abhorrent behavior

@lunya105 The goal isn’t for 100%, it’s just the simple fact that you have a 0% chance of dying if you press red. Anyone who pressed blue literally did it to themselves.

Am I missing something here?? It’s easier to get >50% Blue than 100% Red Even 1% is 80 million people dead if 99% clicked red. So if the results were switched, that’s 3.5 billion people dead. Society would be in shambles and your life/the world would change drastically :(
MrBeast@MrBeast

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

@MisterFalconM @Hesamation if enough equally portion out the Kool-Aid, it will no longer be deadly. bound to be some that drink it;maybe kids, elders w dementia or people who like the color blue. Not all are purely rational or intellectually capable. so do you sit idly by or help out to prevent any deaths?

@TylerDuprey @theramblingfool like, what’s more likely or easier to achieve: there is absolute 100% conformity and agreement and no one dies. or, 51% dont want others to die, and no one dies.

Does Samwise Gamgee press the red button or the blue button? In your heart of hearts, you know the answer. Now sit down, shut up, and accept that you are a weak coward.

@TylerDuprey @theramblingfool do reds even realize they are adding weight to the crusher, potentially killing others(children included). when instead could be helping lift it up in collective strength and no one dies?

@vussyviz @e0syn 3 years ago and only say “red or blue 💊[pill]” which sounds more like the classic Matrix choice. with only 477 voters. the bottom image one has 25863 and just says “add another vote”. Nothing provided inducates it’s about the buttons

@theramblingfool I’m fine being a weak coward who lives. You’re more than welcome to die virtuous in return for nothing. I mean, imagine being your life on the innate goodness of people in 2026 😂😂

@TylerDuprey @theramblingfool i would hope to think my parents would choose to protect me and family and others~ leading to the option with the lowest threshold that would result in zerø deaths. i dont wanna be related to ones who actively make it harder for others to survive

@Cary_Bleasdale Putting on my red button pusher hat, I'd wager they would resort to saying something like "Those are fake people" or "Blue button pressers are children, only children would appeal to characters from stories." (See my post on cynicism and optimism.)

@CoryRockFF @waldenpod if a majority of reds band together they rewrite the blue button from “everyone lives” to “all blues die”. Blue is safer for everyone unless reds mess it up by being selfish and apathetic. If red wins, there’s a guarantee it kills others.

@waldenpod The crafty wording is a trick. With a little reasoning you can realize that the blue button is the only dangerous option. Selecting it puts you at risk, and now you’re the one who needs saving which is a burden onto others.

i picked blue too. seems like a logical answer since, if we all pick blue we all live. the only reason to pick red is out of fear of others picking red which is stupid because you are adding to the problem trying to dodge it.

@MrBeast THIS THOUGHT EXPERIMENT IS MEANT ONLY TO INCITE CONFLICT. RED IS LOGIC, BLUE IS MORALS, BUT IT'S A PARADOX. RED GETTING 100% CHOSEN IS ILLOGICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. BLUE GETTING 100% CHOSEN IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT BEING FORCED TO CHOOSE IT, BEING IMMORAL. The only choice is NOT to.

@WelsonWarlock @matterasmachine @MrBeast more like everyone is holding up the crusher, a strong majority, preventing it from killing anyone. but reds chicken out fleeing and stop helping. until there’s not enough collective strength and minority get crushed. Reds actively choose to let others die.

@vrballknowervr @FlamingkittyU @LumLotus so what would result in the least amount of realistic deaths? 98% red, and 2% blue dies. or 49% red and 51% blue no one dies. it’s easier to have > 50% decide than it is to have = 100% agree. reds want absolute conformity or will cause others to die

Both red and blue have risk. If red has majority the world collapses from all the selfless people in blue dying and society collapsing. The argument is always going to be everyone vote blue or countless people will die regardless. Chosing selfish safe red isn't actually safe, just risking catastrophe as long as it's not your immediate death. Everyone voting blue puts a bit more risk on themselves for the greater good of aiming to keep every single person alive. And clearly the majority is voting for blue in every poll because that's what everyone gets. Ensuring everyone lives is the moral choice because some people will always vote blue to protect the whole so everyone votes blue to protect everyone. Voting red is the fearful approach that disregards human life and future consequences.
