@NeiOCo Let people have fun haha😬 For me personally, I always make the Buffalo/Edmonton game and depending on the dates lining up nicely; I try to make the Buffalo/Calgary game. I haven’t yet but one of these years, I want to try making the Buffalo/Vancouver visit. Maybe this year🙄🤞

Connor Hellebuyck to Buffalo: I’m just going to ramble a little. UPL had his 5-team list kick-in on July 1st. I’m going to assume, Winnipeg appears there. If this trade still goes down, Winnipeg will have to take a Sabres goalie back. Does that leave Alex Lyon to Winnipeg then?

@chevys_abrasive @VioletDante @myronix123 The first team they mentioned was Edmonton. The Oilers won’t be in on UPL after just signing Andersen and just trading for Levi. Musical chairs is real lol. Teams like Detroit and Pittsburgh have STRONG minor league goalies who they want playing, not being a back up to a waiver.

@EdmOilerlytics @dashinthepark Haha I do see your point, just using some rebuttals I’ve heard and have come across. Generally speaking, the back up still gets good playing time during the playoffs. Carolina this past season, Florida the two previous seasons. Vegas before that. It’s not zero contribution lol..

I get into weird hockey conversations with a coworker from time to time; sometimes it’s tough to gauge who is the weirder one… time to make a poll! I was never a goalie, maybe that matters🤔 Would you rather be a back-up goalie on a top team or a starter on a non-playoff team?

@chevys_abrasive @VioletDante @myronix123 All those teams I mentioned, if you send them UPL, they would want Buffalo to take another goalie back in return. The Sabres don’t have the room for that. I’m not sure what you’re missing on this, most teams have their crease set and usually it’s a game of musical chairs. Simple.

Buffalo wouldn’t be out a goalie, they would have Hellebuyck and Ellis still? This is where you’re wrong. It’s literally like musical chairs with goalies..
