Very good decision , am calling on all meaningful Nigerians to come together at this time and let’s support @PeterObi the man who is qualified enough to do the job but unfortunately woke up this morning after church .
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

TROOPS DOMINATE OPERATIONAL LANDSCAPE, RECORD SIGNIFICANT SUCCESS AGAINST ECONOMIC SABOTEURS Troops of 6 Division, Nigerian Army, working closely with other security agencies, have continued to dominate the Niger Delta Region (NDR) operational landscape, recording significant operational successes. The operations, conducted from 1–26 April 2026 across the region, led to the arrest of nine suspected oil thieves, the deactivation of ten illegal refining sites, and the confiscation of over 130,000 litres of stolen crude oil, as well as over 26,000 litres of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO). Several equipment used for oil theft were also destroyed. The confiscated products are worth over Two Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (₦250,000,000.00). In Rivers State, several operations were conducted in the creeks, rivulets, and hinterland. Accordingly, in a swift response to credible intelligence, troops intercepted an abandoned truck with registration number KMC 310 ZV Kano at Ukpeye Community, along the East-West Road in Ahoada East Local Government Area (LGA). The truck was discovered to have been loaded with 45,000 litres of stolen products. Similarly, at Orashi National Forest in Ahoada West LGA, a massive reservoir filled with over 35,000 litres of stolen crude oil was uncovered. Additionally, another reservoir containing over 26,000 litres of illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) was uncovered, with several galvanized pipes used for siphoning the products destroyed. At Ebocha, Omoku in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA, troops confiscated 266 sacks filled with 17,760 litres of stolen products. Relatedly, at Abessa Forest, also in Ahoada West LGA, troops discovered four drum ovens and 50 sacks containing over 3,000 litres of crude oil, while two identified waste pits were destroyed. Around Okolomade in Abua/Odual LGA, troops discovered 30 sacks containing over 1,500 litres of stolen crude oil. In Delta State, around Obazogbe Community in Ethiope LGA, troops uncovered a tapping point with a dugout storage pit located 500 metres away, filled with over 2,700 litres of stolen products. In Akwa Ibom State, troops uncovered 45 bags containing a 1,350-litre stockpile of illegally refined AGO at Ikot Ekpene LGA. The suspected oil thieves abandoned the stolen products and fled the area. Troops have also effectively dominated Bayelsa State, denying oil thieves freedom of action. Meanwhile, the General Officer Commanding, 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Emmanuel Eric Emekah, has commended the troops for their resilience. He further charged them to sustain the operational tempo against economic saboteurs and associated crimes across the Niger Delta Region. TROOPS DISMANTLE IPOB/ESN STRONGHOLD, RECOVER SUSPECTED REMAINS OF SLAIN PERSONNEL IN IMO STATE The Nigerian Army has recorded another significant operational success in its sustained efforts to rid the South East of criminal elements, as troops of 82 Division, in conjunction with sister services and other security agencies, successfully dismantled a notorious camp belonging to the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), in Imo State. Acting on intelligence information, the operation, conducted on 24 April 2026 along the Ubaha Orsu axis of Orsu Local Government Area, was part of a deliberate clearance and search mission aimed at dismantling IPOB/ESN hideout within the region and locating the remains of two personnel of the Nigerian Army, Master Warrant Officer Linus Musa Audu and Private Gloria Mathew, who were brutally abducted and murdered by IPOB/ESN terrorists in May 2022 while en route for their traditional wedding. Acting on credible intelligence, troops advanced towards a suspected IPOB/ESN hideout when they came under heavy attack by armed criminals. Demonstrating resilience, the troops decisively engaged the terrorists, successfully repelling multiple ambushes and forcing the criminals to flee in disarray. The encounter further exposed the desperation and criminal nature of the group, which continues to target innocent citizens and security personnel alike. Following the successful clearance of the camp, troops conducted a thorough search of the area and made a grim but important discovery shallow graves suspected to contain the remains of the slain personnel. The graves were carefully excavated and suspected remains were recovered. The recovered remains have since been secured for detailed forensic analysis, including DNA testing, to conclusively establish their identities. Efforts are also ongoing to liaise with the families of the fallen personnel to ensure proper identification and facilitate befitting burial arrangements in honour of their sacrifice. This operation not only underscores the Nigerian Army’s unwavering commitment to ensuring justice for fallen heroes but also highlights the continued degradation of IPOB/ESN criminal networks and infrastructure across the South East. The discovery of shallow graves within their camp further exposes the group’s heinous atrocities and disregard for human life. The Nigerian Army reassures the general public that ongoing operations will continue until all criminal elements are neutralised and lasting peace is restored across the region. We appreciate the Law-abiding citizens for the information and urge you remain vigilant and continue to support security agencies with timely and credible information. The Nigerian Army remains resolute, professional and committed to defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Nigeria.

During the precise tactical raid, troops seized a substantial cache of weaponry and industrial equipment used for the production of illegal arms. Recovered items include 2 AK-47 rifles and one G3 rifle, alongside a suite of manufacturing tools such as 2 generating sets, a welding machine, a drilling machine, a hand filler, and a comprehensive technical toolbox. In a related engagement, troops deployed at Gidan Waya, Jema'a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, responded to armed attack on members of the Forest Guards and Vigilante Group of Nigeria. Troops in collaboration with Forest Guards pursued the assailant towards the Jaginde Forest axis. Upon sighting the approaching troops around Ungwar Maruwa, the suspected criminals abandoned their motorcycle and fled into the bush. Subsequently, troops intercepted and arrested one of the fleeing suspect. A thorough search of the criminals hideouts led to the recovery of an AK 47 rifle, one AK 49 rifle, a motorcycle and a sleeping mat. The arrested suspects are currently in custody undergoing investigation to determine the extent of their distribution network and any potential links to wider criminal syndicates. Following this successful intervention, troops have intensified mop-up operations across the general area to locate and recover any remaining locally fabricated weapons that may still be in circulation as well as intercept other members of the fleeing criminals. These operations reflects the ongoing commitment of troops to restore absolute peace and stability in Operation ENDURING PEACE Joint Operations Area by aggressively targeting the sources of communal violence, other criminal activities. TROOPS RESTORE HOPE AS MANSUR RESIDENTS RETURN HOME AFTER MONTHS OF DISPLACEMENT There was widespread celebration in Mansur, Alkeleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State, on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, as residents returned en masse to reclaim their ancestral homes after months in exile. The community had been deserted since 26 February 2026 when armed terrorists overran the village and forced families to flee for safety. For nearly two months, farmlands lay fallow and homes were abandoned. The turnaround began with Operation BUGUN KARKANDA III, directed by Army Headquarters. This was a sweeping clearance operation conducted by 33 Artillery Brigade. BUGUN KANKARDA III was proceeded by Operation WUTAN DAJI, a deliberate follow-up operation aimed at flushing terrorists out of their strongholds. The operation successfully cleared terrorists from the dreaded Dajin Madam Forest in Plateau State and Kumbodoro Forest in Taraba State. Other areas cleared of terrorist included Yankari Game Reserve, Bogwas and Rimi in Bauchi State. Others are Odere Forest, Shirnagol, Wanka and Kukarlwa in Plateau State. In the same vein, Kumbodoro town and Angwan Jauro Sule in Taraba State were also secured. Following a successful conduct of the clearance operations, communities such as Mansur which were hitherto under the clutches of the terrorist became liberated. Consequently, the operations transitioned into the consolidation phase which involves the handover of cleared towns and villages to relevant security agencies and other Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to maintain law and order as well as return displaced communities to their ancestral homes. On Wednesday, scenes of joy replaced fear as men, women and children sang and danced their way back into the village. Many were seen inspecting their homes and clearing bushes that had overtaken compounds during the period of displacement. Community leaders commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, for his swift intervention in restoring peace to Mansur community, noting that the return of residents marks the beginning of a new chapter. For the villagers, the sight of soldiers on patrol now brings reassurance rather than anxiety.
