The pulpit is not for football banter.
A pastor’s platform should proclaim God’s Word not casual jokes about clubs being ‘cursed’ or dating Arsenal fans as a ‘bad sign.
Even as light ribbing, it carries weight from the altar and risks trivializing spiritual things.
Grateful he clarified and apologized.

Honestly, Nigerians need more education. So a few months or so back, Pastor Dolapo Lawal, while preaching, made a funny statement, more like banter that Arsenal can never win the league no matter how many points ahead they are.
As of today that guy called Abiola is "calling him out for fake prophecy".
