I was sitting on a table, attending a dinner by privilege, and someone shared how he raised 30,000 USD to prepare his wife to deliver in the United States of America. A Nigerian. We finished and I saw one man wearing simple palms enter one Jeep. People had drivers waiting to take them home. My journey is to Gwagwalada that night. Reality is on a gradient that we can't measure on X. Funny thing is that as I dey manage like that, getting into that room is something some people are dreaming of. The gradient of reality. May God lead us all to Christ. 😂😂😂

The 1 million figure may be overstated nominally but let me tell you, there are hundreds if not thousands of people in Lagos whose shared reality is completely different from yours. They don't understand how people complain about light, they have 24/7 light. The football you watch on your TV, they travel as a group to watch it in stadia and come back the following week. When you argue with some people on X about players, several were there live and even took pictures with players. It's like a whole different universe out there. I went to a lounge somewhere in VI, not a club oo. A bottle of water was about 50k. I gave excuse to the waiter so I can sneak out and never return. The lounge was packed. To those people, given they are in their cocoon, they believe Nigeria is what they're experiencing. When you say minimum wage is 70k, they feel you're kidding. They genuinely can't process it. We are not all living the same lives here bro.

Mehn. Just read a little about Muhammed Marwa and the Maitatsine Riots. Things have happened in this country. Blood have been shed. History is supposed to start from primary 1. Things happened in this country. Nigeria didn't really improve much tbf

Inducing yourself or others to attempt to cash a cheque God did not write by wresting promissory scriptures is to do the work of the devil. To that, Jesus answers: ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ Attempting to force God’s hand into satisfying all your cravings by man-made schemings dressed in Christian lingo is to tempt the Lord, your God. Instead we must trustfully entreat our ever good and wise God and trust him with our eventual life’s outcomes.

I just learned that under Ghana’s Free Senior High School policy, the government pays the WASSCE registration fees for every student in public schools. Then I looked at Nigeria, where WAEC and NECO fees have just increased. I’m struggling to understand the logic. Nigeria has one of the largest populations of out-of-school children in the world. Thousands of children drop out every year because their families simply cannot keep up with the cost of education. Education is under attack in Nigeria and we have to fight back.

Foundational Nupe Lawyer
People who believe that every child who talks or argues a lot should be lawyer are the same people who believe that unless a lawyer is popular, shouting and jumping from one TV station to another, he’s not successful or not doing well. But guess the irony? The most brilliant and successful lawyersI know are quite, not very popular and hardly make public or TV appearances.

Yes. You can't make him more loving. God is immutable. He doesn't change. You want to erase all His acts in the Old Testament to prop Him like as one who didn't kill because you want to show he's so loving. He was love. He is love. He will be love. He doesn't change. Attempting to make Him look like He became more loving in the new testament is how you get neomarcionism and hypergrace.

Most Neo-Marcionists today did not set out to be heretics. They set out to make Christianity more loving. But you cannot make Christianity more loving by amputating the foundation on which its love stands. #SayNoToHypergrace

You're a liar. You're calling all these eminent saints of God murderers because you want to uphold marcionism. The judgement of God throughout the Bible has always included the death penalty. From Er to Onan to the inhabitants of Sodom to the final judgement where he'll damn unrepentant, unbelieving men for all eternity, God does judges people with death. In the Old Testament, in the New testament, He judged men unto death; and these things were written for our admonition that we should not bring judgement upon ourselves. Paul speaking to the Corinthians made it explicit that eating the communion unworthily can bring varying degrees of judgement unto death. Limiting the Acts of God to the gospels is error.

Like I have said before… Many people love the idea of community because they have never truly understood community. If your first thought when you hear the word “community” is simply friendship, people checking up on you, gifts, messages, fun, laughter, food, and having people around you, then I think you’ve missed the heart of it. Real community yeah…. begins outside of yourself before it ever benefits you. It starts with asking, “How can I serve?” before asking, “Who will serve me?” It begins with putting people first, even when it costs you. I see many young people trying to build communities today. I’m not claiming to be an expert, but one thing I have learned is this: if you truly want to build a community, people must come before aesthetics. If your vision of community is pretty pictures, exciting events, good vibes, and memorable moments, then your understanding needs to change. Community is essentially sacrifice. Are you willing to offer your room/house to someone who suddenly has nowhere to stay? Because one day, someone will find themselves in an awkward position, and they will need a place to sleep. Will you be there? One day, someone will become sick and need someone to sit with them, carry them to the hospital, or simply care for them. Will you be there? One day, someone will find themselves in legal trouble or a police situation, and because you’ve built genuine trust, you’ll be the first person they call. Will you be there? One day, someone’s relationship will scatter. They’ll need someone who will listen without judgment, pray with them, and help them carry their burden. Will you be there? That is community. Community is not built on convenience. It is built on commitment. It is not about entertainment. It is sustained by sacrifice. It is not measured by attendance at gatherings. It is measured by how willingly people bear one another’s burdens. Yes, there are beautiful things to enjoy in a healthy community. There is laughter, celebration, friendship, meals, memories, and joy. But those are the fruits of community, not its foundation. The foundation of community is love. The kind of love that serves, gives, sacrifices, and stays. Let’s please stop the glamorizing of community. Start building relationships that cost you something. That is what real community is.
