One of the very best books I read over the last 12-18 months or so was Greg Radick's brilliant "Disputed inheritance", here's a brief Amazon review saying why anyone truly interested in the origins of genetics, and its potential futures, should read it amazon.co.uk/review/RU1H1Z6…

Thank you @Ddysmo. What an excellent day, the @AdelphiGenetics meeting at @royalsociety. Some really thoughtful talks marking 20 years since publication of completion of the Human Genome Project. A super-sharp narrative from @stevesturdy from Edinburgh on the political agendas around UK genomics over the last decade. Also Andrew Read (of Strachan and Read!) on the technology journey, Bill Newman @GeneticBill on rolling out of pharmacogenomics and Mike Parker @michaelethox on the ethical journey of genomic expansion.
