Following my questioning, the Home Office has stated that in the latest quarter the following age disputes were resolved... In short, A LOT of illegal migrants have been caught lying about their age. Afghanistan - 312 disputes resolved, 130 were found to be 18+. Iran - 168 disputes resolved, 68 were found to be 18+. Syria - 67 disputes resolved, 40 were found to be 18+. Do we want to fast-track this process? Allowing illegal migrants lying about their age to go into the British school system? No, is the answer - a zero tolerance approach is required.
