Deeply saddened to learn of the passing on of Mzee Eriya Odeo Ipara, father of Prof Isaac Odeo Ipara, Vice Chancellor of Kibabii University. Mzee Eriya who has rested at the age of 93 was hardworking, dedicated and focused person who inspired many especially in the education sector He was also an exemplary farmer and strong pillar of the Friend Church, Quakers. We have lost a resourceful elder whose selfless service and immense contribution to the community will be highly missed. My deepest sympathies to his family, friends and relatives. May God give them strength, comfort and peace during this trying moment.
