@mightibum @RandallKanna Or standups that includes designers, Frontend and Backend devs and the Backend devs are discussing implementation details for a long time. That's a complete waste of people's valuable time

@vaidehijoshi @RandallKanna I’ve always been an advocate for async stand-ups, until I started a new job during a pandemic. I think that experience would have been much lonelier without a Zoom call with my team every morning 🙂

@RandallKanna honestly i think it's a symptom of a team/leadership that lacks effective communication. remote + async "standups" are easy to achieve and aren't nearly as stressful or as much of a time suck. so if a team is insisting on in-person, synchronous standup...they've got some issues.

@RandallKanna Fortunately, every org/person I worked with has adopted my text based standup of: *Yesterday* - thing I did 1 - thing I did 2 *Today* - [✅] thing I want to do today 1 - [✍️] thing I want to do today 2 - [ ] thing I want to do today 3 *Blockers* - thing I’m blocked on & person

@martinokello @RandallKanna I totally agree with you Martin. I think it’s this fake pressure that totally kills the flow and creativity. Often managers invent the deadlines without asking how long things will take. And that then totally screws up the most efficient order to complete tasks. Burn out follows.
