BACK IN BUSINESS IN BRAZIL 👊 🇧🇷 😈 After an eventful June featuring the 24 Hours of Le Mans and his NASCAR Cup Series debut in San Diego, @KevinMagnussen is back with BMW M Team WRT as the FIA World Endurance Championship heads to São Paulo for round four of the season. The Danish racing ace and Admin By Request brand ambassador arrives at Interlagos full of confidence after a strong start to BMW's campaign. The German manufacturer has claimed three podium finishes across the opening three races and currently sits second in the FIA World Endurance Championship manufacturers' standings – a remarkable turnaround compared to last season. "The new Evo package on our BMW M Hybrid V8 has definitely been a step in the right direction, but at the same time I feel that the entire organisation has taken a significant step forward. We are working better together, our processes have improved, and we are simply getting more out of the overall package," says Kevin Magnussen. "Interlagos will be a completely different challenge. It's a low-speed circuit, whereas Spa and Le Mans, which hosted the two previous FIA WEC rounds, are both high-speed tracks, so the demands on both the car and the setup are very different. That can present challenges, but it can also create new opportunities." Magnussen and teammates Dries Vanthoor and Raffaele Marciello are already on track at Interlagos, with practice underway ahead of Saturday's qualifying. MAGNUSSEN ON TOP 🤩 🏆 🍾 ✨ That’s exactly where we want to see him! Kevin Magnusen claimed the first FIA World Endurance Championship victory of his career by stepping onto the top step of the podium after this weekend’s 6 Hours of São Paulo at Interlagos – the very same circuit where the Danish racing ace secured pole position for the Brazilian Grand Prix back in 2022. The victory followed a commanding performance from Kevin and his BMW M Team WRT teammates, Raffaele Marciello and Dries Vanthoor. Starting fourth on the grid, Kevin quickly fought his way into second before taking the lead and handing the car over after two superb stints. Marciello continued the flawless execution before Vanthoor brought the BMW home to victory, holding off a hard-charging Ferrari in the closing stages. “It's been a long time coming, but we finally made it happen! I'm incredibly happy for the entire team. The car was simply fantastic today. The strategy was perfect, the pit stops were perfect, and both of my teammates did an outstanding job – everything just came together today. It means a great deal to finally stand on the top step of the podium. It's a huge achievement by everyone in the team, considering they started from scratch in WEC in 2024 and have already scored four podium finishes and two victories this season,” said Kevin Magnussen. “We just need to keep working” Recap from a frustrating British Grand Prix weekend for @HulkHulkenberg, whose race at Silverstone came to an early conclusion after a gearbox issue forced the Audi Revolut F1 Team driver to retire. Having already battled challenges from the formation laps and an early spin, it proved to be a character-building weekend for the German as the team narrowly missed the opportunity to build on its recent progress. “It’s been a character-building weekend, and it ended in a frustrating way for us today. From the start, things didn’t quite come together – something already felt off on the laps to the grid, and the launch itself wasn’t where it needed to be – clearly an area that needs attention on our side. In the race, I had to push early on in dirty air and had a small spin, which made tyre management difficult, and we then had a gearbox issue that ultimately forced us to retire,” said Nico Hulkenberg. There was, however, a positive outcome for Audi Revolut F1 Team as Gabriel Bortoleto secured an eighth-place finish, underlining the potential of the Audi R26 package when everything comes together. With the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps just two weeks away, the focus is already on bouncing back. “On the positive side, it’s great to see Gabi scoring points – that’s a really strong result for him and for the team, and it shows the potential we have when things come together. The competition is very tight, and while we’ve been close at times, we haven’t quite managed to convert those opportunities. LET'S GO RACING 🤩🥊 After a busy Saturday at Silverstone, @HulkHulkenberg heads into the British Grand Prix with reasons to be optimistic. The Admin By Request ambassador finished the Sprint Race in 14th place before qualifying 13th fastest, earning a promotion to 12th on the starting grid following a penalty for a rival driver. With the midfield separated by the smallest of margins, Audi Revolut F1 Team remains firmly in the fight for a points finish. “It wasn’t the qualifying we were aiming for. I didn’t quite put the laps together in Q2, and on the final run I lost the tow when the car ahead pitted, which cost a bit of time on the straights. Tomorrow is another opportunity, and if we can execute a clean race, there’s still every chance to move forward,” Nico Hulkenberg said. We’re ready to see you race, Nico! BACK TO SILVERSTONE 🇬🇧🏆 Few circuits hold as many special memories for @HulkHulkenberg as Silverstone. It was here that the German finally claimed the first Formula One podium of his career last year – and this weekend he returns to the legendary British circuit determined to continue the push towards its first points of the season. “There have been quite a few positive signs to take from the recent races, even if the results haven't always reflected the potential of our package. The important thing is to keep working hard, executing well and making sure we extract the most from our car: if we do that, results will come. Silverstone is a circuit I have always enjoyed, and last year's podium gives me plenty of good memories heading back,” Nico Hulkenberg said. The action is already underway at Silverstone as Formula One returns with another Sprint weekend. With just a single practice session before Sprint Qualifying, Hülkenberg secured 13th on the grid for Saturday's 100-kilometre Sprint after a solid Friday afternoon. “It was a fairly clean Sprint Qualifying session, but I don't think we quite maximised everything today. We also took a slightly different approach with our run plan, so we'll go away and review everything overnight to understand where we can improve ahead of tomorrow's qualifying session,” the German added.
