10 years ago I met a disabled little boy in a respite children’s home in Leicester. Only it wasn’t a respite for him, it was his home and he’d lived there for 3 years. His foster mum who he’d lived from birth died suddenly when he was 3 and he never ate or drank again. 🧵

@AnnaToccara Probably likley to need to foster first but not strictly correct as would depend on any existing relationship with child, their care plan and approach of their local authority social work & legal teams. Judges have awarded SGOs directly before.
