@avzaagzonunaada Not really, but British English speakers often can’t differentiate South African-, New Zealand- and Australian-English accents

@WG_RumblePants Wonderful to watch. Was Gilchrist the last person to start his innings with a 6?

Wonder what Sunny G feels about Rishabh Pant today. His 61 from 33 has kept India very much in the fight. On any other pitch, that 61 would probably be worth 120.

Did you know that the founder of Sydney University had a false identity? Genuinely, one of my favourite moments from #StuffTheBritishStole this year. Charles Nicholson is one of the founding fathers of Australia’s oldest university. Just one problem: There is no Charles Nicholson…

The more I read about the fight between Dutch and Portuguese Brazil in the 17th century the more I feel like a full book on this would be an absolutely wild ride (Recs welcome)

I’m all for interesting discussions and sharing views, but the default setting on this app for some people now seems to be to tell you you’re just talking nonsense or to to fall back on swearing and abuse. I don’t expect everyone to agree with me. I do expect civility.

Starc and Cummins failed to get 2 tailenders out and that changed the result of the match and series. I was told that getting tailenders out was a piece of cake and if you bowl a yorker with your eyes closed they give wickets themselves. Sadly cricket doesn't work like that.

On the contrary, Fadli Zon has a crazy merit. Not only he super close to Prabowo, note that he is historian by training (S1 Sastra Rusia, S3 Sejarah UI), avid antique collector, plus a very experienced politician and diplomat. So this position is very strategic for him. He knows.
bram 🔻🇵🇸@konstruksocial

based on the article, it had some merit, but I think Prabowo don't really care that much. Especially when their vice ministers and advisors are mostly celebrities. It's more a showcase of power consolidation. Unless, tiba-tiba ada kek film atau buku nasionalis dateng.

So I'm taking the plunge. After a decade on this platform, I'm going to retire my account at the end of 2024 and slide across to LinkedIn.

@AdrianVickers5 I was surprised they haven't collaborated with an historical museum in Indonesia like Museum Bahari for example...but I guess Natali Pearson's orphaned cargoes project had something to do with that decision
