@suvajevs @PositiveMoneyEU Indeed. Interesting. Thank you for your valuable feedback. Well, we picked the most recent available english translation provided by the central bank. I see the current law took effect in the beggining of this year (research done in 2022). Will keep that in mind for an update 🙂

🏦🔍Central banks make decisions with huge repercussions, but are they accountable? We assessed their level of #accountability in the #eurozone Greece has the most accountable central bank, followed by Lithuania, Estonia and Belgium. Germany's and Latvia’s central banks rank last

@suvajevs @PositiveMoneyEU I mean article 43. We referred to the english translation of the Law on Latvijas Banka with amendments on 6 October 2021 (in effect as of 20 October 2021).

@suvajevs @PositiveMoneyEU So, to the best of our knowledge, we decided not to consider such case as reporting to the parliament since from a de jure point of view we found no substance. I would be glad to have your informed point of view and maybe discuss that matter with you.

@suvajevs @PositiveMoneyEU Thank you @suvajevs for your relevant remark. It was indeed a hard choice. According to article 43, the parliament shall supervise the central bank but then mention is only made to annual financial statements. What is taken into consideration is a report dealing with policy.
