@Brad__UTD @htomufc @bengrym101 You’re one of the few that think it’s a good idea that’s for sure lol. No time to implement his philosophy along with players who are known to be unable to adapt to change. Signing him on a 5 yr deal despite being on the verge of relegation also not smart.
English

Am I the only one who thinks this de zerbi move to spurs is a good, smart appointment? He’s got a clear style, he’s prem proven, he’ll back his players regardless and create a more positive vibe in the dressing room between the players, and if he keeps them up he’ll have time to get the players to adapt. He wasn’t even bad at marseille either, he had Greenwood and auba banging them in every week and near enough battling at the top
English

@7Gooner14 @Emzyl_ Madrid and Pool needed a calming presence in midfield who keeps it simple and circulates the ball well. Arsenal already had that in Rice and even Xhaka. Good player, wrong choice for Arsenal
English

@Emzyl_ Yall so negative. Zubi is a clear upgrade and there is a reason why Pool and Madrid wanted him desperately last season. He chose arsenal. He has been overplayed and mismanaged. We bought Noorgard for..what?? It’s on Arteta not the player. Stop hating the team and be a supporter
English

@herculezg CONCACAF really is in a dark place if David is the best 9 out there 😭
English

Jonathan David with a goal and an assist today.
That’s 4G & 3A in the last 7 Serie A games for the best 9 in CONCACAF. 🇨🇦 #CANMNT
English

@David_Ornstein @TheAthleticFC A plethora of top talent outside of England yet English clubs continue to fall into the trap of spending insane money on average players just because they have “PL experience”. One of those signings that you can just tell will flop
English

🚨 Crystal Palace close to agreement for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen. Talks between #CPFC & Jorge Mendes on behalf of #WWFC advanced; £45m + £5m fee being discussed. Leeds United bids reached £40m but #LUFC not currently going higher @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/70015…
English

@gusfringldn Blame 3/4 new signings for continued failures despite regulars like that awful front 3 choking for the past 3 seasons. Just another reason Arsenal will fail to win anything significant with this mindset lmao
English

@ArsenalZNE It’s this type of victim mentality rather than “we were outplayed let’s work on it for the next game” that will always continue to hold Arsenal back. Both the fans and players feel entitled to win and anytime they don’t, they become victims. City’s title to lose this year
English

@billldates @eurofootcom If you have Busquets in your team, it’s impossible to not dominate possession lol. Absolutely redefined the DM role, and, aside from Rodri who isn’t at Busquets level, you’d be lucky to find players with his profile in today’s game.
English

@eurofootcom Unpopular opinion: Busquets is the ultimate 'system merchant.' Put him in a team that doesn't have 70% possession and prime Xavi/Iniesta next to him, and he’s a liability. Greatest of his era, or just the best-protected player in history?
English

@ReshadFCB @VictorGlum 0 benefit to Barca, more of a compassionate move for Ter Stegen to get game time prior to the World Cup. Will come back next season and ride the bench in his high wages
English

🚨 BREAKING: Barcelona open to loaning away Ter Stegen out to Girona and taking over a good % of his salary. Club doesn’t want to put any obstacles in a potential operation. @VictorGlum #Transfers 🇩🇪🔴
English

@NicoAnelka9 Find a better alternative in his age bracket, profile, and experience. Take into account he’s had no established partnership since joining, new to the toughest league in the world, and is expected to play at the level of a “title winning team”. I’d say he’s done fairly well.
English

'Option' you say....

🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal reach agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Piero Hincapie. Season-long loan from #Bayer04 + buy option. Package worth €52m & 10% sell-on. 5yr deal upon permanent transfer. Set to travel this weekend for #AFC medical @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/65673…
English

@bayernstocks @InvertTheWing No because he’s been performing excellently since the beginning of last season. One ok performance against arguably the best team in the world right now should not devalue his quality
English

@InvertTheWing Because he’s performing against spurs? Ive seen him wet his pants in allianz arena
English

@NealGardner_ Will make for much lower quality games at the WC though, still amazing feats for a lot of these countries.
English

@Kantor_Dragoes @ChanchoChanch @ney2maa Brother please don’t talk if you don’t actually watch CONMEBOL. Uruguay, Colombia, Chile in their prime years recently, and now Ecuador are top teams and incredibly difficult to beat away from home. All teams full of talent that sadly your ignorance is missing out on
English

@ChanchoChanch @ney2maa bcs there is no other big country in south america.
English

European qualifiers is literally for stapadding 😭 there’s a reason why bums always shine here and ghost in the World Cup lmfao

10-0 Austria. IT'S 10-0 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY HAVE SCORED THE 10TH GOAL OF THE NIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARNAUTOVIC WRITES HISTORY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
English

@Ak__thfc @InvertTheWing It’s not recency bias it’s that he’s too young to even know any of the greats you’re referring to 😂
English

@InvertTheWing But you're leaving out so many greats for a player who had a good 2-3 seasons.sounds like regency bias to me
English

@NealGardner_ Gavi is not a starter and Joan’s absence is not a significant factor given his replacement didn’t put a foot wrong this game. PSG dominated despite being away from home and missing their entire attack, can’t even imagine the damage if they were fully fit
English

@M1C9N5 @LyesBouzidi10 PSG significantly more depleted than Barca missing their entire attack, Neves, Marquinhos. Not only that, still outplayed Barca for large portions of the game away from home. I’m a Barca fan, but this was just poor from us
English

@3cbPerformance @FCBarcelona Yup initially thought they would have to shave it down, what do you think his prognosis looks like in the long term regarding fitness/recurrent knee injuries?
English

@FCBarcelona Longer-term recovery but the meniscus being eligible for repair is a good thing in the medium and long-term. Not all meniscus injuries are repairable (depends on type of tear and location of tear, needs blood flow to heal) but tissue is preserved instead of removed
English

@ReshadFCB Careers done, ACL injury followed by meniscus tear that’s a recipe for recurrent knee injuries down the line. Feel really bad for him
