BREAKING | Medal of Honor recipient Bennie Adkins, who was given the nation’s highest military honor for heroically fighting off enemies and saving wounded soldiers in Vietnam, died April 17 from complications caused by the coronavirus. stripes.com/news/veterans/…

Today is National #MedalofHonorDay. Join me in a #MomentofHonor to remember those who have earned our Nation's highest award for valor in combat. The Nation is eternally grateful to these patriots who so valiantly fought for America’s values and the American way of life!

Help us thank MOH Recipient SFC Ronald Rosser for his bravery & heroism! Disregarding enemy fire, he charged enemy positions w/ only a carbine and grenade. He single-handedly terminated at least 13 of the enemy. Though wounded, he rescued men who were seriously injured. @USArmy

Over the next two decades, the number of living Recipients is expected to decline, which leaves fewer heroes to inspire us in-person with their stories. We need your help to push the legacy of the Medal of Honor forward. Join us today! buff.ly/2I9bSg4

Happy Alive Day to the youngest living Medal of Honor recipient! We were honored to host @chiksdigscars last week at CIA. Many thanks to Corporal Kyle Carpenter for his service and for sharing his story of “an ordinary man placed in an extraordinary situation” with our officers.

Medal of Honor recipients have been honored in cities across America, but they have no monument in Washington, D.C. To rectify this, we partnered with Congress to introduce H.R. 5173, otherwise known as “The National Medal of Honor Monument Act.” #MedalofHonor #MoHMuseum

Yesterday, we lost Sergeant Francis S. Currey - one of the few remaining World War II Medal of Honor recipients. He was awarded for his heroism in the Battle of the Bulge. We extend heartfelt condolences to his friends and family and remain grateful for his service.
