🤯 This is such a heavy news week for adult creators that I've got yet ANOTHER news roundup for you. The IRS finalized a rule this week. Digital content creators can now deduct up to $25,000 in tips. Unless you make adult content. Then you get nothing. That was just Monday. Here are FIVE MORE stories from this week that every adult reator needs to see.👇 1. IRS Excludes Adult From the "No Tax on Tips" Rule The final regulations are out. "Digital content creators" made the list of qualifying occupations for the tip deduction. But tips for "pornographic activity" are carved out, and the rule does not define what that means. The Free Speech Coalition says it creates unconstitutional discretion. And it directly contradicts the same administration's anti-debanking executive order. They will protect your bank account but not your tax deductions. 2. OnlyFans Could Be Selling Part of Itself for $3 Billion OnlyFans is in advanced talks to sell less than 20% of the company to Architect Capital at a valuation over $3 billion. This is the first major ownership move since founder Leonid Radvinsky passed away recently. The platform makes roughly $684 million a year. New investors bring new priorities. If you earn on OnlyFans, watch for policy shifts, payout changes and terms-of-service updates in the months ahead. 3. The U.S. State Department Is Exporting AV Laws to Other Countries The State Department is directing diplomats to push age verification for adult content to foreign governments. A spokesperson confirmed the policy. This comes from the same political ecosystem behind Project 2025, which calls for a total ban on online adult content. Age verification is no longer a domestic legislative fight. It is now American foreign policy, and it is accelerating AV adoption around the world. 4. The EU Launched Its Age Verification App The European Commission officially released a bloc-wide AV app this week. Seven countries are already planning to integrate it into their national digital wallets. It uses zero-knowledge proofs and is built on the COVID pass framework. But a security researcher claims it can be hacked in under two minutes. If this becomes the default across Europe, every platform serving those audiences will need to comply or get blocked. 5. Canada's AV Bill Cleared the Senate Bill S-209 passed the Canadian Senate and heads to the House of Commons. It would require mandatory third-party age verification for all adult platforms operating in Canada, with fines up to $500,000 for repeat violations. Canada is home to Aylo and Gamma. This is the industry's home country writing the rules for its own backyard. 😵‍💫 There's actually EIGHT stories total that affect SWers from the last 4 days but I don't want to make this post too long.
