@JFMCO1969 @AdventHealthCFL I’ve just paid a bill for over $1.5k for a routine catheter change which in the past was less than $100 but surprise surprise numerous unnecessary tests had been done total rip off

@AdventHealthCFL took my mom to the ER on Monday for one specific test, but of course several additional tests were ordered. 2 hours later, sitting waiting for CT result and this is the nurse/physician desk for the area we are in. 2 photos, 5,000 minute time span, no one in sight. And you wonder why people get pissed?

@AdventHealthCFL, I’ll respond soon! Do you want to hurt yourselves and/or others?! Leisel is not paying $642 per minute (they worked for only a few minutes TOTAL) for a doctor to let her know she had a kidney stone 🤪 Her bill is about to hit over $20,000 for about 4 hours at Advent ER in Winter Garden! You stole her car, jeans, European trip for graduation, part of her college fund, and your companies own dignity! I worked in Radiology at health central (front desk and ran the office on the weekends in the late 90’s) so I KNOW this is correctable corruption and attempted theft! It takes about 2 months in opening operations to pay off a CT machine from @Siemens and after that it’s stealing peoples money 💸, because the price for a scan SHOULD be a quarter of what it costs then, and it takes knowing monetary reality! She could have flown to Japan and had a private Ryokan Onsen room with a private hot spring bath in her room and could have stayed for 2 weeks! I’m disgusted 🤮 its abuse @flcourts self care is a right and individually over the counter with no liability waiver for self care legal responsibility (not that there is ethics Or Legal Responsibility in law here!)! Maniacal stuff

@AdventHealthCFL, My daughter maybe could have gotten a brand new car for her 16th birthday, instead she got a kidney stone, a trip to Advent Winter Garden ER, and a WHOPPER of a bill for 4 hours of examination, to the HOSTILE tune of $17,646.25! Looking back, it really is true how women get dismissed in healthcare cuz why did I go into the ER saying my water broke & showed pictures, but was getting gaslit into believing I peed myself 🤨 but then after I gave birth I was on watch for a prolonged rupture @AdventHealthCFL

Banal reason healthcare is broken: if a provider ever documents a mistake in your chart, it can be almost impossible to get it fixed. My wife went to an old PCP nearly 20 years ago and mentioned that her father has a penicillin allergy. She has never had any issue herself. The doctor documented her as having a penicillin allergy. For the next two decades, every ED or inpatient visit has involved questions about “her penicillin allergy,” what reaction she had, and what antibiotic alternatives she needs. Every time she asks for it to be corrected, the care team says they can’t because they didn’t enter the original note and don’t want the liability. So the only real path is to track down the original PCP and hope they still have access to the record. The deeper issue is that the system of record in healthcare is built first for billing, compliance, and legal defensibility, not for keeping the patient’s story accurate for care. And this is why interoperability alone is not some clean fix. If there’s no real ownership of data correction, all you do is make one bad fact portable, durable, and instantly available everywhere. At scale, interoperability can just mean cascading a mistake to many sites of care.

Yep, shame on Advent Health. I had to make a trip to the primary just so I could get Cipro so I can actually feel better.

@dvasishtha Adventhealth put in my wife's chart she has prostate cancer, and no she isn't transgender, she is a 60yr old real woman with stage 3 kidney disease and septic necrosis but can't get proper opioids,only buprenorphine which has been upped 3x 12m with severe side effects, ridiculous
