✨ back home ✨ honestly ? i thought this part was going to be easy relative to “the day”… it wasn’t. having her taken in a basket, whole, and coming back in a small bag, i was hit with the finality of…she’s gone forever. i’ll never be able to physically hug, kiss, cuddle, pet, or be around her. ever again. care, feed, bathe, sleep next to… grief has hit me unlike anything i’ve ever experienced. i know…viscerally…that this was her way to peace. no more pain. no more confusion. no more crying or panic. selfishly, i want more time with her. but again, ill take her pain…and bear that…so that she doesn’t have to anymore. i am a pretty spiritual person…i believe in…more than this. but the heartache i feel is so overwhelming…and outweighs any coherent thought or mindful awareness i have. honestly. i just want to sleep and cry. cry and sleep. but…i’m so grateful that she is home. ♥️
