@espen_ts 2/2 Juve are looking for a partner to start next to Bremer. Then there’s Kalulu, Gatti, Cabal & Savona. Rugani & Kelly aren’t needed anyway 🤷🏽♂️
English

3.5 years later, the point still stands. Depth is only depth if the player is good enough to play. We're now talking about a 31 year old who we KNOW isn't up to the task.
Adam Digby@Adz77
“Ah Rugani is ok as a 4th choice central defender”
English

@espen_ts Different Juve sporting directors & coaches have sent him out on loan because he isn’t good enough. None of those teams signed him because he wasn’t good enough. But you know better? 1/2
English

@espen_ts Until he doesn’t & we lose in CL games because of it. This is the issue I mentioned in my original tweet, every player in the squad has to be able to contribute when it matters. He can’t. We know this.
English

@MrDannyBlue Given Juve need a partner for Bremer, there’s Kalulu & Gatti so Cabal or Nicolò Savona is a better 5th choice CB. See how easy that was?
English

@Adz77 Your honour. Let Digby find a 5th choice CB that accepts being last in pecking order, doesn’t cost us more than roughly 4 million € while also never being injured. All that while we also need to to strengthen other positions and balance the books.
English

@MrDannyBlue All that is true. And then he’s called into action and hurts the team. That’s why he can’t be in the squad at a serious club trying to win. Maybe Allegri will take him to Milan
English

@Adz77 For a fifth choice, yes? Lol. You said he’s responsible for too many goals. That’s wrong for his last season at the club. He has no ammortized value on the books, is on reasonable wages, accepts being 5th choice and is never injured.
English

@MrDannyBlue “Sent away due to being really poor”
“Before his mistake against Villarreal”
The defence rests your honour.
English

@Adz77 Allegri values him. Motta didn’t. And he was sent away when Sarri was here due to him being really poor before that point. He had a really solid stint before his mistake against Villarreal 21-22. A bit of a redemption period. Same Allegris last season.
English

@MrDannyBlue So you’re citing a season without Europe where he wasn’t called upon in a big moment to argue that in very specific circumstances he can help Juve finish 3rd while playing no role in winning the Coppa Italia? That’s not exactly an endorsement.
English

@Adz77 You’re arguying black is white. Probably cause you’re mixing his performances from his earliest years with his latter ones. In his last season with us, we won 9 of his 17 games. Only lost 2. We didn’t concede in 8 of those games either.
English

@MrDannyBlue And the flip side of this is that if he was such a perfect 4th or 5th choice, why do wildly different Juve sporting directors & coaches all think he isn’t?
English

@MrDannyBlue If he was good, why do you think every team who loaned him has not taken their option to sign him?
English

@espen_ts No, he isn’t & we have a decade of evidence that proves it. Watch the games & you can’t miss it
English

@MaksJuventino If it were even half the player of this era we'd be getting back, me too.
English

For @ForbesSports I ask if Dusan Vlahovic is the worst transfer flop in #Juventus history forbes.com/sites/adamdigb…
English

For @ForbesSports, a look at why #Juventus made Jonathan David their first signing of the summer

English

@FilialJuveFan @emaxstatman I'm talking about Kean the first time not second
English

@Adz77 @emaxstatman Huijesn was awful business, lean I think made sense at the time coming off a 0 goal season and struggling to break into the team. Most people were celebrating that sale when it happened. Just seemed like he needed a change of scenery, I doubt he wouldve have a good year at juve
English

@ITruth98 Agreed. Arthur, Bernardeschi, Costa, Melo, Pjaca all way way worse. Vlahovic contributed, he just never lived up to the promise of his last 1.5 seasons in Florence
