I finally got access to Claude. Yesterday my wallet got drained for $6,300. Here’s how it happened About 2 years ago I gave an access to my second wallet to worker, so he could trade on DEXes and do other crypto stuff. It made sense for airdrops, that was the meta back then We worked together for around 6 months, then we end it up because I didn’t like how he was doing his job. And yeah, this was actually someone I knew IRL, we saw each other often, friends knew where he lived, and so on When we stopped working together, I asked him to delete all information about my wallets. He seemed like an honest person to me, and I was sure he had really deleted everything. I asked him to do it not because I thought he would want to steal something, but because he could simply get hacked and my wallets could get found About a month ago I figured that if the money had been on those wallets all this time and he hadn’t stolen anything, then he probably really did delete them I deposited $6,300 to my Polymarket account to buy bonds and see how much I could actually make from that But yesterday evening I logged into the account and saw that the money had been withdrawn 2 hours earlier At first I didn’t understand anything. I couldn’t believe I got drained because I hadn’t given any approvals from that wallet I checked onchain and saw that an approval to Relay had been made manually from my wallet. So someone had access to the seed phrase or private key The only person who had access was that same worker. But there was no proof, the wallet he withdrew the funds to was completely fresh I texted my friend and we decided to come at it from far away. My friend started messaging him: “where are you gonna spend that $6k?” And so on And he started replying with stuff like “I don’t need anything that isn’t mine, I don’t understand what you’re talking about.” Even though nobody had accused him of anything, he just started exposing himself on his own And right at that moment he deposited BNB to the account to pay for gas and withdraw the money to a CEX. I checked that wallet and saw it was in our old chat with him Then I texted him myself, told him he got caught. And he immediately sent the money back to my wallet without saying a word Even after that he still didn’t admit it was him. He’s hiding behind some worker who supposedly did it by accident. Then he said it was his brother. Basically he just keeps lying ——— The takeaway here is very simple: don’t trust even the people you think you can trust. If you give someone access to your wallet, only keep the amount you are 100% ready to lose Thanks to @AdzProsperous for helping with all of this.
