On a more personal note:
I am wrapping up my internship and looking for full-time roles in post-training and adjacent areas. At MSR I worked on agentic RL for general tool-calling on benchmarks like BFCL, Taubench, and MCPBench and on self-distillation and synthetic-environment data curation and training.

I have done it! Mighty's Batch-1 is in production! ✅
Mighty is the smallest VIO/SLAM module, here are the final specs and features:
- Global shutter camera + IMU
- 0.8W peak power
- Outputs pose @ 15hz, IMU runs @ 800hz
- Ultra efficient scalable loop closure and mapping via SDK
- Can sync multiple cameras thanks to new FSYNC pinout
- Connects to everything! Mavlink/CRSF for drones, Arduinos/ESP32, Phones, RPIs, etc.
- Powered by 5v USB or 3v-15v power input directly.
- Lua programmable, so you can change output protocols or add custom behaviors etc.

I'm sorry but The Filter Coffee is an extremely average place to have south indian food. Massively overpriced and bland flavours. Rameshwaram is still okay, but Filter Coffee is just fancy interiors with no substance.

@yacineMTB It becomes exponentially difficult with more pendulums. You are at the end controlling a chaotic system. In the limit this becomes like controlling a rope/chain to stay upright.

@ChidubemNdukwe @OpenRoboticsOrg one thing that I have learnt is that devices connected via usb will always be used via serial id or name. too much name conflict otherwise.
Unless the connection has a specific port(e.g. THS1 for Orin UART) , by serial-id it is.

3am debugging session: RTAB-Map had no data, #ROS2 topics were hanging, and I spent hours chasing ghosts in my DDS configs.
The culprit? wasn't even DDS. My arm controller was hijacking /dev/ttyUSB0 from the Lidar.
Never hardcode device paths. Fixed, live, and ready for mapping.

@AegislashV Wanting a stronger model for inline autocomplete while keeping your own code ownership is a reasonable middle ground. Copilot-style completion with Claude model quality would be a real upgrade for that workflow.
