@darrellm @merelyjwright Yeah, for sure bro. So is intellectual honesty. Perhaps stop trying to “find inconsistencies” and simply ask if your beliefs glorify God and honor the spirit of the law.

An example from my world, Alpacas, Llamas, Dromedaries etc. all stem from a pair of Camelid Kinds that caught a ride on the arc. Yet enough time, isolation, and adaption has occured that these are different species of camels. They can still breed (if only artificially) yet they generally produce damaged offspring with lower fertility and various physiological and temperamental pathologies. What specific forces make humans not analogous to my beloved camels?

I've done the Ark and Creation Museum with my kids. Found Hamm's defense of "Kinds" and the flood compelling if not convincing. One question that wasn't answered, the biological forces resulting in the speciation and adaption from one pair of kinds over 6,000ish years had no effect on humans who started with 3× the genetic diversity. Why? What mechanism exempts humans from these forces and how?

There’s only one race—the human race.

I still haven’t forgotten about what Pastor Matt Boswell did to @Djkeene1 for making a similar statement (he attacked him/his family and struggled him like a Marxist) Matt Boswell is a “big wig” in the Southern Baptist Convention—and that’s part of the reason the SBC is a mess

At a park in Plano, TX with my 5-year-old. We are surrounded by foreigners, speaking multiple foreign languages, making it more difficult for my son to make friends. This is my hometown. It’s unrecognizable. I want my country back.

A 🧵 Yesterday @WilliamWolfe appeared on a podcast hosted by a KKK sympathiser and white supremacist who affirms that “races of men are as distinct as breeds of animals; that any mixture between races of any great divergence is evil; that the American stock, which was bred under highly selective surroundings, has proved its value and should not be mongrelized,” where they discussed “how to deal with being smeared as a racist.” 1/5

@NeilShenvi He doesn’t “redefine” it. He clarifies what it always meant to everyone before the mid-20th century. Yes, “ethnonationalism” is a tautology because the nation was always the ethnos. Look at the etymology of the words and it’s obvious. He’s not the one sowing confusion—you are.

In his book The Case for Christian Nationalism, Stephen Wolfe *redefines* the word "ethnicity" to be *synonymous* with "nation"(see p. 135). This is extremely confusing, because it can make "ethnonationalism" sound like a tautology. 1/
