Over the last 24 hours the market has been shaken again. Fear, liquidations, red candles everywhere. I get it - nobody enjoys this part of the cycle. But I want to give you an anecdote that reframed the entire situation for me. A few nights ago, I had dinner with one of our early investors - someone who has seen multiple cycles and made generational money by staying rational when everyone else panics. He told me how, during the 10/10 crash, he managed to buy Bitcoin below $100k. I asked him point-blank: “What if it dropped to $89k? Wouldn’t you feel like you bought too early?” His answer was brutally simple: “If Bitcoin is going to $150k, will you really care whether you entered at $98k or $89k?” That stuck with me. Just the other day, BTC was ~$106k. Today it tapped $97k. Suddenly, I was right back inside that conversation. This is the exact setup that investor described - the emotional discomfort that precedes the rational opportunity. So I bought more. Not because I enjoy red charts, but because conviction gets cheaper on days like this. And that’s the perspective I want to offer all of you: If you believe in what you’re holding, this isn’t fear - this is asymmetry. Right now, many people are staring at ETH, their alts, and yes, Aethir, asking: “Where is the bottom? When does this stop?” Here’s the hard truth: Bottoms are only obvious in hindsight. Opportunities aren’t. Understanding the Power of Revenue in Capital Markets: This cycle is proving to Web3 that booking revenue changes everything. When a business starts reporting it, markets stop guessing and start calculating. It can be scary - as speculation is often all some Web3 projects rely on - but the upside of capital market inflows is incredibly enticing. The magic happens when you can transition a company from being valued based on speculation, to being based on something real - like revenue. Here’s an example: Take a NASDAQ listed company with a $200 million valuation that signs a $100 million contract in annual revenue inside the AI-infrastructure space. Peers there trade between 18-67x price-to-sales. Run it at the low end and you get 18 × 100 = $1.8 billion. That’s almost a 10x increase in valuation. The day the revenue is announced, they’re repriced. That’s how quickly valuation logic can reset once top-line numbers exist. Now picture the next contract - another $50 million a year. Suddenly the revenue looks consistent. Models tighten, multiples drift upward; maybe the baseline moves toward 25x. Same math gives $3.75 billion in valuation now, an almost 20x increase in valuation. There’s no drama in that sequence. Algorithms read a new filing, pull the data, update their comparables, and trade the difference. Revenue supplies the evidence that price has been waiting for. Taking advantage of this will drive a massive influx of capital to web3 for projects that have the metrics (revenue/real business) to participate.
