@jmonkeyengine @khushiirl Agreed. I personally was introduced to Java from modding minecraft, so for me it's always had an association with fun. I imagine I'd have a different perspective if my first introduction to java was a boring enterprise environment that forced me to follow strict conventions.

@khushiirl We've built a whole game engine with Java 😅and many indie devs have been happily using it for years. Totally fair if you hate java, but its also a very capable language. Preferences vary, and school or a boring job will certainly make any dev hate a language.

This is my experience as well. Redditors will hate on everything that's unfinished or unpolished in a game, but if you post something good then you'll get downvoted or banned for self-promotion, its just a toxic place. Definitely not a good place to connect with devs & players
