Given the replies to this announcement I think there may be some confusion as to what this means. My understanding: -BE's have always been influenced by the Magic Number (MN) -The MN has always been influenced by the scoring that round. Per @bitinthat: "The magic number changes after every round to ensure that the total price changes for a given round sum to 0. In other words, for every price rise, there must be an equivalent price fall elsewhere in aggregate." -So it follows on that BE's are dependent on what happens that round in terms of scoring (for eg, how the rooks score etc). -BE's that we were previously shown were never perfectly accurate, hence @MoreirasMagic BE's often being closer to the mark than what was shown on the AF site The announcement below is simply saying that we are now being shown a more accurate projection of BE in real time. ie, as the variables that impact the MN change over the course of the round, we'll get to see the more accurate subsequent BE. That's good no? Not sure why the replies are all negative.

@fantasynut_afl Bugger, I felt a bit robbed I couldnt take Serong. Glad to finally get rid of Salem this week and do a restructure down there.

@AflDraftTool Wouldn’t have changed much for me as it’s not like I had a great bench score that would’ve come in

Rd 5 1962 Rank: 44054 Trades: English to Grundy Parish to Farrow Was tossing up trading Parish and Blakiston and obviously got that one wildly wrong as Parish learnt to football again. Add in another injury to an expensive player in Salem (I refuse to call him a premium) and a suboptimal score from Washcroft and it mean my score was nothing special again. Fingers crossed Petracca is back this week. Along with my cash in the bank, it should mean I bring 3 Premiums into my side this week. Obviously that might mean passing on Anderson, but i'm not sure I can go another round without making up significant ground. My only way back is to pray that the folks that have paid up for Jaicos, Naicos, Gawn, Zorko, Sinclair etc, run out of cash at some point in the season. There are premiums that are now starting to look cheap, so i'll continue to try and target those.

@fantasynut_afl Guns and Rookies back line was the play this year. I pivoted to Salem as well very late due to the McKercher news. Really cooked me. I think I probably got too caught up in the value chase when the gap between top 6 and the rest seems very large.

Round 2: 1734 OR: 42757 Trades: Rozee + Bergman for Whitfield + Holmes Unfortunately was only fielding 19 this week with the premium injuries + Murdoch and Marshall also not being available. Started with Visentini with the view that he would be decent cover for English's rd 3 bye. Similarly, started Marshall with the hope that he'd provide safe cover during this bye with several FWDs out. Unfortunately both plans didn't pan out. The rookies continue to do well and the right premiums continue to score well. Unfortunately Salem has not turned out to be a good pick and Windhager is not someone I want to hold till the byes. If I had instead gone with Sinclair and Steele instead of those two, i'd be 10s of thousands of positions better off, but I guess everyone would be if they were given two mulligans eh. The issue I face now is that in addition to have several guys I want to trade out: -Windhager -Salem -Parish -Visentini -Blakiston isn't urgent if he can just give me 60s -Petracca, may end up just being a hold for me and then pray its only a 4 week layoff instead of 6 I also have a few rooks that might be close to maxing out, Zeke, ?Carroll. And there are several rooks I prob need to consider trading in: Farrow, Lindsay (after trading him out lol), Steene etc. Getting those rooks now will likely mean falling further behind, so finding that balance between increasing my TV and also getting points will be tricky. Think I have to take a bit more of a novel approach to get back in the race, but that might mean some short term pain still. How'd you go this week?

I will never get my head around a government-funded, not-for-profit tax-free organisation also allowed to siphon $50m per year from the gambling industry. You are either a NFP delivering a social benefit, OR a profit-focused business operating within the law. Can't be both.

We’ve noticed a bug in the latest app build where you can’t substitute players in your team. A new build is on the way, but in the meantime, we recommend you use mobile web if you’re experiencing this.

Updates later tonight - for those manually drafting you will be able to select and remove/add multiple players at once to speed up drafting and table load times. Updated player projections/notes/pre-season scores are already live.

The last 5 selections will stick around just incase you selected the wrong button. Let me know if there are some issues. It's not as smooth but it may be better than downloading it to a spreadsheet

While I am not supporting live drafting from @KeeperAFL yet, I have added manual drafting to the tool. So you can remove players manually and add them to your team. The update is going live now, heads up I still need to tweak a metric or two.

Slight update to relative value (VORP) to better account for DPPs at the start of the draft. The metric is no longer dynamic which means you should have a better idea of everyone's positional worth from the outset.
