@JacobHorsfall_ It’s absolutely is how you use it. They need to improve of will be relegated in next couple of seasons based on that.

@kr62209 @BradfieldSWFC Great post Kris, normal fans have the utmost appreciation for the work you have done and the professionalism and integrity shown throughout 👏
English

Strange, I post A LOT less than you.
Maybe block me? it is after all what that function is for.
Although, whilst we are at it, I did find your constant negativity and brain dead, incorrect attention seeking posts over the past 6 months a tad nauseating.
I didn’t block you though (even after some of your meddling messages with your mate were forwarded to me) because reminding myself what I was up against, gave me extra resolve to complete the task in hand.

SWFC have sold 15,000 season tickets in less than a week and should comfortably exceed the 21,000 target.
I’ve seen some supporters asking:
“Is that definitely good financially? Wouldn’t fewer season tickets and more matchday sales generate more revenue?”
The answer is nuanced.
In pure theory, if 25,000 fans all paid matchday prices every game, revenue would exceed 25,000 season ticket holders.
But football economics are not that simple.
The key question is, How many season ticket holders would actually attend regularly without a season ticket?
I was amazed to learn that historically at least 10% of Wednesday season ticket holders do not attend every home game.
So let’s use some rough but reasonable assumptions based on the last League One season when Wednesday averaged 25,378 attendance:
2,000 away fans at an average yield of £20 (remember VAT is excluded and you have concessions, kids etc) = £0.9m revenue
4,000 home matchday sales at an average yield of £23 across 23 games (higher average price than away tickets) = £2.1m revenue
500 commercial customers that we will discount from this summary.
500 complimentary tickets (press, scouts, agents etc).
That leaves roughly 18,378 season ticket holders.
At an estimated average net yield of £300 per season ticket (after VAT, concessions etc), that equals:-
£5.5m season ticket revenue
Total estimated ticket revenue:
£8.5m
Now compare that to 21,000 season tickets sold.
That alone would generate roughly £6.3m
Meaning Wednesday would only need around £1.3m additional home matchday revenue (assuming away revenue is the same).
That equates to fewer than 2,500 additional matchday tickets per game to match the revenue above.
Given expected demand, that seems highly likely.
And that is before considering:-
increased sponsorship value
higher corporate demand
stronger kiosk sales
higher merchandise revenue
improved cashflow certainty
Because Hillsborough’s capacity is significantly above Wednesday’s historic average attendance, there is little doubt in my mind that higher season ticket sales are overwhelmingly positive financially.
Personally, I think Wednesday will exceed 23,000 season tickets.
It shows what is possible with:
sensible pricing
positive messaging
optimism
and reconnecting supporters with the club.

A phenomenal effort! Launched less than a week ago... 15,000 already! 👏

@adamsrt11 @BBCMOTD Init , on last day of season ifs it’s tight your semi final PO opponents could be about 5/6 teams
English

@BBCMOTD Weird take, the whole Soton debacle hardly affects Hull , they did their part & play whichever opponent is confirmed -this whole “we need two weeks to prepare” against any given opponent is comical - get on with the game! 😳😆

@HallamFC1860 Good luck men @RJPatt8 & @DannyPatterson7 a fantastic appointment Hallam. You could not find a more dedicated pair of lads whose success on the pitch speak for itself. In good hands.

@owlsmadmorris @the_mediaman1 And your missing what I am saying Morris if he’s there I would be playing him. It’s even more ridiculous to suggest bringing someone injury prone on . Hes a world class defender, he should play if he’s travelled
English

@Afoxich @the_mediaman1 But you accept he's not played in important games recently for City because he's not fit enough so how will he be match fit for international level next month? 🤷♂️🏆
English

@owlsmadmorris @the_mediaman1 Come on Morris we going round in circle it’s cool if you think not. IMO he’s the only world class CB we have and should be playing
English

@Afoxich @the_mediaman1 So how is he going to be match fit to face decent sides in the latter stages?
English

The Wednesday ’Til I Die Podcast@WTIDPOD
💰 £12.16m injected into the holding company owned by David Storch, his son Michael and Tom Costin.
English

@owlsmadmorris @the_mediaman1 Not fit Morris like we both have said many times
English

@Afoxich @the_mediaman1 So why has he been on the bench for City with Guehi picked ahead of him then?
English

@N_toshiSakamoto I think the creditors have already been paid what they were due
English

@Afoxich Heading straight out to creditors settlement or for players and refurbished?
English

@owlsmadmorris @the_mediaman1 Then you don’t take him 😂. If he’s there his ‘fit’ if he’s ’fit’ he’s playing.
English

@Afoxich @the_mediaman1 Not fit - exactly! Won't be match fit next month either.
English

@owlsmadmorris @the_mediaman1 Not been fit. Off top of my head MG at fault for Spain winner in final, also cock up at Everton other day for title. I do like him mind , stones and him for me.
English

@Afoxich @the_mediaman1 Hasn't been able to get a game ahead of Guehi at club level. 🤷♂️
English

@Afoxich @the_mediaman1 He probably has been in the past decade but that has to come to an end at some point - city have recognised that.
English

@owlsmadmorris @the_mediaman1 I’d have took Maguire also, but John Stones had been best England CB this decade. Can defend and comfortable on the ball, career absolutely littered with trophies and achievements no brainer for me he’s 1st choice CB but he won’t be.
English

@Afoxich @the_mediaman1 Maguire has shown in the last 6 months that he should be in the squad and ahead of Stones on form and fitness. With the amount of pointless early games I expect rotation in most positions so won't just be a sub, if fit enough to start.
English

@owlsmadmorris @the_mediaman1 I’d depends on strength in depth in that area. It’s not a contradiction if you’ve 5 no 10’s and one is out of form / not playing that’s the reason not to take them. We’ve no centre halves better than Stone. If Kane hadn’t kicked a ball all season he’d still be my CF .
English

@Afoxich @the_mediaman1 Pep has been happy to use him as a sub. You've contradicted yourself a bit with posts about others appearances....
English

@owlsmadmorris I like him, think he’s a good manager. I would always have any contact at international level to be reviewed after a major tournament.
English

Strange because Rob couldn't wait to get Touchel in yet now he says his contract is too long. Whilst I agree that extending his contract when they did didn't really make sense, nor did shortness of original contract if they want continuity. Rob wanted him as a winner, let's see..
Andrew Fox@Afoxich
@robstaton Because they are that use to frittering money away it becomes almost irrelevant if you have to pay a manager off to most major clubs/associations at that level. Embarrassing decision making really.
English

@owlsmadmorris @the_mediaman1 Not a lot but I had a look yesterday it’s rarely made lots of premier apps each season and it’s better than the two who will start. Certainly no good as a ‘sub’ for me, if he’s going he’s playing.
English

@Afoxich @the_mediaman1 How many times has Stones started a game in the past 6 months?
English

@adam7485 Yeah I wouldn’t have picked Maduake. But in fairness , he’s done oreyt when he’s played for England.
