Obukwenda bwomuhikirwa hamazarwa ga'Rukirabasaija Fellow Batooro, I greet you all. Today, as we mark the birthday of our King on this 16th day of April, we give thanks to the Almighty for his life; 34 years strong, with 31 of those years spent on the throne as our monarch. This is not only a moment of celebration, but one of reflection on what it means to have such a young King leading our Kingdom at this point in our journey. Our King is not distant from the realities of his people; he is part of this generation, part of this ecosystem, growing, learning, and leading within the same challenges and opportunities that define our time. His youth is not a limitation; it is a strength. It brings energy, fresh perspective, and the courage to imagine a different future for Tooro. But like any young leader with a bold vision, he cannot do it alone. For that vision to be realised, it must be carried by all of us, especially the youth, who stand shoulder to shoulder with him as the driving force of our future. When young people are empowered with the right support, education, and opportunities, they do not just transform their own lives, they become the foundation upon which the Kingdom’s progress is built. As we celebrate His Majesty, we also take a moment to honour and congratulate the Queen Mother @QueenOlimi on this remarkable milestone. We thank her for the wisdom, strength, and unwavering guidance with which she has nurtured and groomed a visionary leader in our King. Her role in shaping the values, character, and resilience we see today is deeply appreciated and continues to inspire the Kingdom. This is why collective effort is so important. Our King’s age places him in a unique position to understand and champion the aspirations of a new generation, but it also calls for strong, united support from every corner of leadership. With a newly elected group of Members of Parliament and a refreshed political leadership across the landscape, this is the time to close ranks around the Kingdom’s vision. Development cannot happen in isolation. It demands alignment, trust, and active collaboration. I therefore call upon our leaders to walk alongside the King, to support and strengthen the initiatives already in motion; particularly those focused on youth empowerment, health, agriculture, environmental protection, and infrastructure. In doing so, they will not only be serving their constituencies, but also reinforcing a shared mission for the good of all Batooro, to build the Tooro we desire. We are all aware of the challenges we face. From malnutrition and health concerns to the struggles of our teachers and tea farmers and the gaps in infrastructure. Yet these realities should not discourage us; they should unite us. They remind us that the work ahead requires urgency, commitment, and above all, partnership. On this special day, I urge every Mutooro to recognise the moment we are in. To stand behind a young King who is committed to his people, and to actively play a part in shaping the future he envisions. And to our leaders, this is a time to offer not just words, but tangible support, working hand in hand with the Kingdom to turn vision into reality. The road ahead is demanding, but it is full of promise. With a young King at the centre, one who understands the times and carries the hopes of his generation, we have every reason to move forward with confidence. May God continue to guide and strengthen our King, and bless the Kingdom of Tooro. Amazarwa amarungi Omwebingwa Ogorobye Agutamba Oleme namagezi nka’baswenkuru Rt Hon Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki Prime Minister Tooro Kingdom

🎂 Wishing Rukirabasaija Omukama a very Happy Birthday today.
