@BusterLungfish Thanks for the feedback. You actually can set your own maximum terms in your domain's settings.

@afternic It's easy to calculate that from Buyer's perspective certain LTO periods, such as 13 months, are utterly irrational. Yes they can move the slider, if they understand there is a slider ("-------o" on Custom lander), but I wish sellers could only set max terms from 3,6,12,15 etc.

Top sellers use Lease to Own to make their domains more accessible to a wider pool of buyers. For this 24-month LTO, there's a commission saving, too. Here's a simple way to check for any domains you're yet to enable: afternic.com/domains?filter…

I should not receive an email like this from @GoDaddy for a domain name I sold 3 months ago on a 12 month LTO at @Afternic. Whois record from April shows the domain name with a May 2027 expiry. Regardless, a domain name in a LTO at GoDaddy should not expire during the term.

Sellers can enjoy a commission discount for longer lease periods: 13-24 months (5% Discount) 25-36 months (10% Discount) 37-60 months (15% Discount)

Feature idea for @afternic: if domain is not at GoDaddy and is freshly registered (easy to check through whois), and seller turns on LTO, make it so the LTO doesn't show as an option to buyers for the first 60 days. Just had a new LTO canceled b/c can't transfer domain

Question for the domain hive mind: If a client bought a domain name on a payment plan through Dan but never transferred it after payment 12/12 was made, how can they access it now? No account on GoDaddy/Afternic under that email that exists, so it wasn't migrated...
