This is cool, @DarpanMunjal. Does every registrar have to implement @atomHQ's DomainAttest OAuth + signing logic in order to participate? What's in it for other registrars to support this initiative? Which registrars have already agreed to participate?
Darpan@darpanmunjal

One of the simplest questions in the domain industry has become one of the hardest to answer. "Does this seller actually own this domain?" Answering it means logging into DNS, adding a TXT record, waiting for propagation, and hoping everything was configured correctly. Meanwhile, the registrar already knows the answer.

That's not entirely true. Tony actually started one of the most viral "share a sale, get a sale" initiatives on X. And I learn way more about private sales and tactics by attending ICA events because people will share in person what they won't do in a public forum. People share publicly when it works for them, and don't when it doesn't. That shouldn't stop you from doing what you think is right for the industry. Be the change you want to see. 💪

I'm proud of the code I've created for @NotifyDomains because: • Expired domains often go to auction, but you rarely know which partner will list them. We watch them all and tell you where and when. • Pending delete? We tell you where and when to backorder. • It watches any domain you care about on its own, all day, across registration data, DNS, SSL, website health, marketplaces, and auctions. • Alerts arrive in plain English with what happened and what to do next. • It catches signals most people miss, like a site going dark, SSL expiring, or a redirect flipping, often before a domain is even listed for sale. • It filters noise so you get real moves, not a flood of junk, and can ping you by email, Slack, Telegram, or webhook. • It keeps itself honest. When something goes wrong upstream, it doesn't quietly go stale. It notices, recovers, and keeps watching. Most people find out too late. @NotifyDomains tells you early enough to act.

I made a chrome extension that puts two new clickable boxes on the @afternic domains page to highlight new daily searches and views. The current 30 day views/searches is great but it's hard to spot spikes or new interest at a glance. This extension is quite crude and I'm sure it's on the afternic roadmap to get something like this officially in place but if you can't wait until then you can try this. How this works: - creates a baseline by grabbing your current numbers - checks that baseline for changes - displays the number of names with changes - when clicked, a popup appears with the domains that have had new views/searches along with the numbers. You can also download as a csv. How to use: - go to the 'manage chrome extensions' settings in chrome and enable developer mode (top right toggle) - choose 'load unpacked' and then chose the ext folder - refresh your afternic tab - navigate to your domains page and set to 500 per page - choose 'save current baseline', this will scroll through and log your current domain names and views/searches - once a baseline is saved you can navigate away from the page - after 24 hours there will be a difference in numbers so click 'scan for changes' to pull in the new data - review/download the data - click 'save current baseline' to make these new numbers the baseline for tomorrow - run at approximately the same time each day as views/searches update at different times Things to note: - no data is saved and sent back to me, it's all local. Put the code into AI to confirm, if you have concerns - navigating away from the domains page wipes the displayed data (but not the baseline) so study it in one sitting or download it - disabling the ext will wipe your baseline, you'll need to save a new one and wait 24h - the ext will need to be reloaded in after a chrome update - use at your own risk, robots made it crunch.id/AfternicChrome…

@MichaelCyger Hi Michael, Do you provide white labeling of notify domains to resell Or any future plan to provide? Like many saas now a days allow white label for a monthly fee. I am thinking to launch similar tools on our domain Domain24x7.com

@TomCottonAR @grok What’s a balanced monetary cost-benefit estimate for permanent DST vs standard time? E.g. value of fewer evening accidents/deer crashes (~$1B+) vs added morning risks, health impacts, and lost morning light, using $1M per statistical life and available studies?

We're getting ready to launch our outbound engine at Atom, built on AI and signals, not cold-email spray and pray. Looking for a BDR who wants to build this with us the modern way. You don't need years of experience, but you do need to be genuinely comfortable with tech.
Atom.com@atomHQ

We're hiring a Business Development Representative. If you love outbound but hate doing it the old way, you'll use modern AI tools to research, personalize, and sell smarter (not harder). Hoffman Estates, IL, or remote for the right person. 👇 careers.atom.com/atom-com/busin…

@HertzelBetito @KenLin1985 Love it! 🚀 When I was young my mom used to play Mahjong with her friends at our house. Looking forward to playing today. Congrats on your launch!

I’ve spent the past decade building content sites. About a year ago, I fell into domains. But websites are still my jam. I really like what @MichaelCyger did with Pyramid and @KenLin1985 with all the games like eWorm. So this time I did it backwards: Found MahjongCity.com on closeout, liked the name, and built the game around it. Free Mahjong Solitaire, daily challenges, leaderboards, 30 boards, and friend duels. Give it a try and beat the highest score 👉 MahjongCity.com

@MichaelCyger There is always a cost for something free. If it's free, we use it publicly for search engine optimization to get more traffic. At-cost appraisal for us isn't cheap.

If this is where we're heading with automated domain name appraisals, then I'm a bit disappointed. Bad appraisal value > pay to hide

I was frustrated with coordinating plans for pickleball, so I created combo .gg - where you can easily make plans in seconds (no accounts, emails, signups) - just share a simple url. Let me know what you think!

I really don’t want to click on this X ad But then again I really do want to and I’ve hovered over it long enough that the algorithm probably knows I’m gray haired anyway 😭
