@NashSevereWx whew. wind sent full trash cans over in Donelson. Did a frenzied recycling & trash pickup with my neighbor just in time for the truck to come rumbling up the street.

Looking at the big picture, the new WillCo storms have taken over as the "main line." The storms back to our west are falling apart. We'll see how it evolves. 12:10 pm

@thecroftonshow Today. Here in Tennessee. We beat it last session and we’ll beat it again. Voters across party lines oppose vouchers — we need to shine light on this bill so constituents can hold their representatives to account.

One of the first things on the Republican agenda is to destroy the public school system. Unfathomable that a single parent who isn’t filthy rich voted for them.

@BidenMyTime_ @nkornutick When people are given the chance to vote on vouchers directly, they overwhelmingly reject it across party lines (see KY last night). The work is not to cave — it’s to shine light on the bill and let people hold their representatives to account.

It’s going to happen no matter what. It was only held back last session because of the elections last night. The new administration is going to dismantle the dept. of education or at least knee cap it greatly. The best thing you could do is find the problem areas in the bill and contribute ideas to make the voucher bill better. For instance, I think parents who make past a certain threshold financially shouldn’t be able to get the voucher. It should be used to better the lives of children in the poor and middle class.

Both surprised and not. I think the best thing you can do right now is control what you can. Stay or get involved with groups getting actual work done and stay focused. Build your community up. Email your metro council members.

The work begins right here. We’ve seen over & over when people have the chance to vote directly on vouchers, they unequivocally reject the use of public funds for private education (see KY just yesterday). Support for public education matters more now than ever. Protect it.

Tapes just went up at Two Rivers Middle — Trump took the precinct very narrowly, but somehow so did Gloria Johnson & Heidi Campbell (I want to know who those voters are). Great news for the transit referendum which succeeded by 160ish votes!
