Today, we remember Officer Ryan Bourque, who was tragically killed by a drunk driver on his way home from his shift 10 years ago. Officer Bourque's story is a reminder to drive sober and save lives. Thank you MADD RI (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) for honoring victims and survivors, and for your work to put an end to impaired driving.

On this day 20 years ago, I graduated from Providence College with a degree in Public & Community Service Studies. I’m so glad I chose to attend @ProvidenceCol, to make a career out of fighting for Rhode Islanders, and to run for Attorney General to serve and fight for the extraordinary people of our small but mighty state. At the conclusion of National Police Week - I want to thank all those who serve and help keep us safe. It’s been an honor to get to work with so many women and men in law enforcement during my 17 years as an attorney, especially during my time at the Attorney General’s office.

This fight is not going away, and Rhode Island needs an Attorney General who is ready to lead the charge. That’s the type of AG I will be.

I got to sail away on the Block Island Ferry yesterday and had a great time visiting the island. ⛴️ I stopped by @aldosbakeryblockisland for a coffee, visited the alpacas at the @1661resort 🦙 farm and garden, and met with the New Shoreham Democratic Committee to chat about the AG's office. I was also lucky enough to run into the Chief of Police and thank him for his service during National Police Week, and saw our nation’s first offshore wind farm. I can’t wait to come back!

Since our kids are lucky enough to have two moms, Mother’s Day is a big deal for us 😉 Kidding aside, Happy Mother’s Day to all the women out there who mother in so many different ways, including all the aunties, grandmas, friends, and honorary mamas who help us all. It truly takes a village. You are inspiring to me, and I hope you get to enjoy the day. 💐 I also know this day can feel heavy for many. My first Mother’s Day as mom was also my first Mother’s Day after losing my mom, and it’s been hard ever since. I miss my Mom a lot on days like today. For those that feel similar, I hope the day lands gently for you 🙏

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! I am beyond grateful for all the incredible teachers across our state, and their dedication to helping our children learn and grow! 🍎 Last night, I got to celebrate Young Voices' 20th anniversary and see one of my lifelong favorite teachers too, Rick Battistoni. I’m grateful to have met Rick when I was 18 years old as a college student at PC and still appreciate his teaching (and friendship) all these years later.
