an update regarding webcli: many cryptographic primitives have undergone changes aimed at enhancing security. the cryptographic interface has been expanded to include new required functions - such as key switching and refreshing - and improvements have been made to the handling of ciphertexts, the bridge, and other components. an informative feature has also been added to visualize the ciphertext data structure as an interactive L-map, this allows to view noise levels, new layers, and more. the cryptographic primitive interface has become more complex, and legacy balances now require explicit re-encryption and key switching for security reasons. this update is currently available on devnet and will be supported on main net in a few days, following additional security verification. the entire cryptographic workflow is now seamlessly available, the next update will be a full lite node designed for quick startup (details in the next announcement). strongly recommended to update to the latest version, thanks everyone. github.com/octra-labs/web…

I see some concerns about the Hyperliquid listing delay. To be clear, we did not initiate the vote to list there and are in no way affiliated with Nova. It was entirely community led and we told everyone that we would do what's necessary, but did not have it on our immediate roadmap. Once it became evident that Nova will not be following through on the initial listing plan, we announced that we will do it ourselves instead to honor the community vote. However, some days later the focus has shifted entirely to security, as described in my pinned post, where it remains to this day. Security will always be our number one priority as long as real funds are involved. Listings do not matter if security is compromised. We publicly commit to eventually listing on Hyperliquid spot, but porting a bridge and a token to a new chain is not a quick task on the side. Once all essential network updates are released, we will prioritize this, along with all other plans that were previously announced.

1/ The @octra FUD blog by @te_mpe_st has gone viral. But they won't tell you: most claims are based on OUTDATED docs and old code commits. Octra has been actively improving. Let me break it down.

my optics are probably a bit different. honestly, i don’t really care that much about all the accusations, old stories, previous companies / ideas etc. even if every single claim turned out to be true, it still wouldn’t logically prove that the technology itself doesn’t work. history is full of people with controversial backgrounds who still built something genuinely innovative. these are two separate questions and i don’t think they should be mixed together. same with crypto in general. 99% of projects are noise or outright scams anyway, so that’s not really the filter i’m using. the only thing i actually care about is whether the technology survives scrutiny. for me, the biggest catalyst now isn’t another twitter debate or another thread about synesis. it’s the formal HFHE paper. that’s the thing that can actually be reviewed and challenged and validated by independent cryptographers/science people.if the paper demonstrates a genuine breakthroug, that’s what matters. if it doesn’t, then we’ll know that too. do we have any rough timeline for the formal paper? shipping is obviously important, but scientific validation is what ultimately matters here. even if some assumptions behind the formal paper cannot yet be fully verified experimentally, having something rigorous that can be reviewed and challenged by cryptographers is infinitely more valuable than another week of X’s fud. octra HFHE paper incoming

Being too early is worse than being late in any new defining category. AMM and DEX were the playbook for years but that path is now dead, and it ended in a neobank with a card. We gotta go WAY back and rebuild from the VERY first principles. The signs are there, no one else will.
