🇺🇸🇳🇬 JUST IN: About 24 U.S. and Nigerian Special Forces Troops Storm ISWAP Hideout in Lake Chad Operation Emerging reports indicate that roughly two dozen American and Nigerian Special Operations commandos, including members of the U.S. Navy SEAL Team 6, carried out a helicopter-borne assault on ISWAP terrorist leader Abu Bilal al-Mainuki’s hideout in the Lake Chad region. According to U.S. officials quoted by The New York Times, the troops battled nearly three dozen ISWAP jihadists in an intense firefight that lasted close to three hours on two small islands in Lake Chad. The mission was reportedly aimed at capturing al-Mainuki alive, but after it became clear he would not surrender, U.S. air assets bombed the area, killing the terrorist leader and several fighters. No American or Nigerian military casualties were reported during the operation.

𝗣𝗖𝗢𝗦 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗣𝗠𝗢𝗦: A historic change in women’s health: PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) has officially been renamed to Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) after 14 years of global collaboration involving experts, researchers, and thousands of patients worldwide. The previous name was considered misleading because many women with the condition do not actually have ovarian cysts. Experts say the old term reduced a complex hormonal and metabolic disorder to only “ovaries” and “cysts,” contributing to delayed diagnosis, poor awareness, stigma, and inadequate treatment. PMOS better reflects the true nature of the condition, including its effects on: • Hormones and endocrine function • Weight and metabolism • Fertility and reproductive health • Skin and hair changes • Mental health The condition affects nearly 1 in 8 women globally, more than 170 million people worldwide. More than 50 international medical and patient organizations participated in the renaming effort, and over 22,000 survey responses helped shape the final decision. Experts hope this change will improve awareness, encourage earlier diagnosis, advance research, and ensure women receive more comprehensive care instead of having their symptoms dismissed for years. A major step forward for women’s health, recognition, and patient advocacy. endocrine.org/news-and-advoc… #PCOS #PMOS #MedTwitter

The Human Condition... Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago was a friend of my late father, Alhaji Tijjani Usman Bulldozer (APC Party Chairman of Suleja LGA). Even after my father passed away, I continued to stay in touch with him regularly. Every Friday, I would greet him because he was a cheerful person with a great sense of humor. I really enjoyed talking with him. Even after he won his primary elections, we still spoke often. I called to congratulate him. At one point, I told him I was interested in getting a job with the Nigeria Customs Service, and he asked me to send him my slip, saying Insha Allah he would try to help. But around that time, he became busy with the governorship campaign, so I had to let the matter go. After he became governor, we spoke one last time. He told me that from then on I should text him instead — you know, being a governor is no small responsibility. Later, after he became governor, destiny made us meet again in Bida. It happened because his security team and I were staying at the same hotel. My colleagues and I had traveled from Lagos for work on behalf of our company. We met the governor, and he recognized me. He welcomed me warmly, introduced me to some people, and was genuinely happy to see me. I was very happy too. Then he called the guy whose picture I circled — his name is “Kolo.” He told him to collect my phone number and said that whenever I wanted to see him, I should contact Kolo. He also instructed them to give me some money, and afterward I returned to Lagos. After I completed my NYSC, I messaged Kolo, but he claimed he didn’t know me. I sent him this picture, and he admitted it was indeed him, but he still acted like he didn’t recognize me. I tried everything I could, but he refused to help me make any connection. Eventually, I just left the matter alone and said to myself that if it is destined, Allah will create another opportunity for us to meet again. What still confuses me is why he refused to connect me with the governor. The only thing I would have asked for was a job. But he completely refused. Still, I believe that if it is meant to be, one day I will meet the governor again — whether he likes it or not. ~ El-Muaz

Meanwhile, a military man risks his life and finishes his career without buying a car.Same goes for a teacher. A health professional spends years studying, gives their best serving, and gets paid peanuts. But an SA lives lavishly, and we're all comfortable with it.What a country 💔

3.5 years ago, this boy could not afford a plane ticket from Katsina to Abuja. Now he will be traveling to Budapest to watch Arsenal live because he was a media aide to a Governor and a local government chairman. Remind me, how much is the salary of an aide as well an LG chairman in katsina? When you ask for source of his wealth, some random guys will say you are doing Hassada.

There's absolutely no reason why I should continue practicing radiography in this country, gave myself an exit window of 3 years. Cause I've done the math over and over, I always reach the same conclusion. It's a dead-end job, despite being considered good paying career at moment.

Schools in Nigeria are being left behind, and it shows in how disconnected many young people feel from their own country. We must start early, teaching our children patriotism, unity, and a sense of responsibility to Nigeria from day one. Education shouldn’t just be about books, but about identity and purpose. Many are well-schooled yet know little about their nation or feel no duty toward it. We must end division and put Nigeria first, always. I’ve traveled across continents and seen how deeply people love and believe in their countries and that mindset is a big reason for their progress. It’s time we build that same spirit here 🇳🇬
