@michaelshermer It's amazing how you've convinced people you're some kind of skeptical thought leader, when in reality 90% of the movement has completely (and rightly) shunned you at this point.

Here's why there is no mystery to be solved about the missing/dead scientists:
MS: We’re focusing on the strange, unusual things that have happened to scientists associated with UFOs and nuclear weapons. What about all the scientists, the tens of thousands of scientists associated with nuclear weapons, military secrets, and so on, who are totally fine? How come they didn’t go missing?
Another point: So far with these scientists and writers and people like that, we’re finding out what happened to them, and the answers are heartbreaking but prosaic. One of the scientists was Amy Eskridge, the president of the Institute for Exotic Science. She died by a self-inflicted gunshot to the head. Her family accepts that explanation. And it’s not uncommon. More than 27,000 Americans die by self-inflicted gunshot wounds each year. That’s the base rate.
Monica Reza, who worked on orbital communication systems, disappeared during a difficult hike through Angeles National Forest. She was accompanied by veteran hikers who say she dropped off the trail. I know those mountains. There are many precipitous cliffs with thick brush below. I broke my collarbone on my mountain bike that way.
The rest appear to be the result of suicides, heart attacks, Alzheimer’s disease. Two of them were shot to death, one by a vengeful ex-classmate who said he had planned the attack for years, the other allegedly by a man with a long rap sheet. This is all tragic, but there is zero evidence of some grand conspiracy.
And by the way, how come all these scientists and these pilots who talk about UFOs are going on Joe Rogan and Fox News and NewsNation every week? They’re writing books, they’re getting contracts, they’re giving public talks, they’re talking to the whole world. If they were so afraid for their lives, their families, their careers, why are they doing that?

Who are you going to believe about the death of Amy Eskridge: her father who says there is absolutely nothing suspicious about it, or a UFO promoter who already believes there are conspiracies afoot re UAPs, aliens, etc.?

He shares a text from her that reads: “I did not shoot myself in the head with my own firearm. I did not overdose my prescription meds. I did not drive off a cliff.” NewsNation spoke to Eskridge’s father who said her death is not suspicious and is not tied to the other missing scientists and researchers.

Oh, and there's no evidence from the Trump Social post that Trump is talking about using nuclear weapons against Iran. He just means bombing them back into the Stone Age using conventional weapons. Best not to leap to something even more terrible than what Trump actually said.

It's horrible how Trump threatens to wipe out "a whole civilization." Though it's also wise to assume he's bluffing to win maximal concessions from Iran, which he will then spin as a victory and vindication of his strength. Unless, of course, Iran calls his bluff.....

Here the thing: Trump lies as he breathes, and he makes threats that he always walks back. He’s been nothing but a lying/bullshitting marketer of himself his whole life. So when he threatens to end Iranian civilization tonight, odds are it’s an empty threat. But…even MAKING the threat is abhorrent, sickening, deranged, & dangerous.
But alas, I’m a broken record: He’s utterly unfit for office, he’s always been utterly unfit for office, and he should be removed from power immediately. 25th Amendment.

I actually think reacting to Trump's post this morning with some hysteria is a good thing. It's a totally unhinged, immoral thing to say as president, and it should continue to shock us. He doesn't have to nuke Iran for it to be abhorrent and deranged. Just have some standards.

Donald Trump has been a national politician for a decade. Anyone still reacting to the guy’s negotiating tactics and hyperbole with this sort of hysteria ten years in should be disqualified from political commentary. If he nukes Tehran at 8pm, I’ll admit I’m the crazy one. When he doesn’t, this crew will admit nothing and find some other comment to be scandalized by.

This is crazy for so many reasons…
1) if you think he’s wiping Iran off the map. Please ask your boss to fire you.
2) I’ve seen this movie so many times. Trump wants 10, says he wants 100, and ends up with 20.
3) The fact that it keeps working and his opponents still think there’s a sliver of a chance he does the level 100 thing is Trump wizardry.

If you're actual takeaway is that Trump is going to commit nuclear genocide against the Iranian people, well, you're a moron.
You can disagree with the post, in fact the first line and the last line of the post are antithetical towards each other, so that's a valid criticism.
But if you genuinely think he has his finger on the nuclear button, that's something else and you might need help.
However, if I'm wrong and he decides to wipe out millions of civilians I will happily join you all in escorting him to The Hague.

I've voted and for the most part supported Trump mostly in hopes of staving off the Dem's with the gender crap and basically sexuality everything and corruption but Trump's starting to concern me with the level of anger in his messaging. Stuff getting really unhinged I hope he chills out some SMH.
