Elon Musk’s uncalled for interventions on our riots - civil war, two tier policing etc - are right wing tropes that the extreme right want to be true. But they traduce reality. Is this what his “free speech”means? The untrammelled capacity to spread disinformation?

Otherworldly snow tunnel colours today on Ben Nevis. I wasn’t expecting to see such a sight, so a very nice surprise.

One of the most fascinating facts about the ocean, is that there are whales alive today who were born before Moby Dick was written. Some of the bowhead whales in the icy waters off of Alaska today are over 200 years old.

Works out at roughly 600 voters per English, Welsh and Scottish constituency turned away because of ID problems. Might not sound like much until you factor in that there were 20 MPs elected with majorities of under 500. The VoterID Law is not fit for purpose.

My photograph was shortlisted for the Scottish Nature Photography Awards, but just missed out on a gong. Taken from inside a snow tunnel on Ben Nevis in July, 2023. Alas no such tunnels this year, given how little snow remains.
