Fans and critics heavily criticized the 2025 #Oscars for omitting actor Bernard Hill from the "In Memoriam" segment following his death in May 2024 at age 79. Despite starring in two of the most-awarded films in history, Titanic (Captain Smith) and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (King Théoden), he was not included in the televised tribute. I assumed that they would include him this year but honestly, I am shocked that he was again left out of the memoriam. RIP Bernard Hill, one of the great actors of our generation. Hail the victorious dead!
