1. People think structured green-reading slows play. We measured it. ~200 PGA Tour putts. Full execution time tracked. All behaviors recorded. The data says something very different.

If you don't read your putt before it's your turn, 40 second compliance is nearly zero.

Viewing you putt from multiple angles inflates read time and reduces make probability.

If you remove up-the-line visuals, time compliance probability rises.

If you want your extra points at @DriveChipPutt, do not walk to the far side of the hole to read it.

Up-the-line → more angles → more walking → rule violation.

Looking up the line of your putt: Non-AimPoint: 69% Pure AimPoint: 0% Change your habits if you want to speed up.

@AimPointGolf @timmmess @TurtleTown20778 Because causation is not something you can infer from observational study, unless you work pretty hard to get a causal inference structure going, which I am pretty confident you didn't with 200 putts...pretty cut and dry out of bounds to make that claim unless you prove otherwise

When reading putts, each additional viewing angle adds ~9.4 seconds. Up-the-line from the far side of the hole is the most expensive angle. Keep it minimal.

@DormieThru9 So you recommend the slowest possible way to view your putt ?

@AimPointGolf If you can have one view you want the view behind the hole, not behind the ball or over the ball. Settle down with the bad advice.

@timmmess @AimPointGolf @TurtleTown20778 I don't necessarily disagree that there's something to being decisive, but I certainly disagree with claiming "the data say X" when the data don't say it. I am pretty much always a 1 angle guy and like to keep process tight. But I wouldn't falsely use data ethos to argue for it

@TurtleTown20778 Yes. Each additional angle reduces your make probability inside 20 feet.

@AimPointGolf Would you recommend only using one angle?

The more angles you read from, the longer it takes you to putt.
