The Royal Thai Air Force has just ordered two Airbus #C295 in tactical transport configuration. Operated by the 46th Wing Division of the Royal Thai Air Force, the delivery of the first aircraft is scheduled for 2029. Airbus Defence and Space will open an A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) conversion centre at its San Pablo plant in #Seville by the end of 2027 to meet the increase in global demand for tanker aircraft. This new centre, alongside Airbus' existing facility at its #Getafe site in #Madrid, will enable the annual conversion of civil aircraft to military versions to increase from five to seven. Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) work will also be carried out in the new centre in Seville, as well as the upgrading of #A330MRTT already in service.

The #MakeInIndia C295 programme is a unique benchmark in Indian defence manufacturing, bringing together MSMEs and private & public sectors in an integrated supply chain supporting #AatmaNirbharBharat. Thank you to the Airbus Defence and Space & Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) teams as we move towards delivering the first of 40 Made in India C295 this year with many more to come.

Production of the first #Airbus #C295 Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) for the Spanish Air and Space Force (@EjercitoAire) continues to progress at our Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Seville. The first power on has just been completed, representing a key milestone in the industrial process. The C295 MPA will be equipped to carry out anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, command and control (C2), and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. It will also be capable of carrying armaments such as torpedoes and other weapon systems.
