@mollie_don It was the relublican’ts who refused to pass the bipartisan deal yesterday. It was Trump who said no deals with democrats. The republicans hold both chambers and the presidency and they can’t keep the government open to save their political lives.

Hakeem Jeffries is one of the biggest liars in the House of Representatives right now. He is claiming that the GOP is the reason TSA workers are not being paid during this partial government shutdown. That is a flat out lie. Democrats caused this shutdown. It started February 14 when they refused to pass clean DHS funding unless they got massive reforms that would tie the hands of ICE and weaken border enforcement. They blocked multiple funding bills in the Senate. They even tried a gimmick to fund TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard separately while gutting ICE. Meanwhile, over 50,000 TSA officers have been working without pay for more than a month. This is their third missed paycheck in under six months. More than 366 have already quit. Callouts have tripled. Travelers are facing hours long lines at airports across the country. This is not the GOPs fault. It is Democrat political games holding hardworking Americans hostage once again. Jeffries knows it. Enough with the lies. Pay our TSA workers and end the shutdown now! 🇺🇸
