Holy Shit 🤯 Most engineers use LLMs like a search engine. The top 1% treat them like a Senior Pair Programmer. In a production environment, that’s a $15k+ annual leak in developer productivity. Stop writing one-liners. Here is the 3-part framework that actually scales: Part 1: The Context Injection (.md) * Step 1: Create a SPECS.md file with your data schema. * Step 2: Create a STYLE.md with your team's linting and naming conventions. * Step 3: Upload these before you type a single instruction. * Result: The AI understands your environment before it writes a single character. Part 2: The "Handbrake" Instruction * Step 1: State your goal in one sentence. * Step 2: Add: "Do not write code yet." * Step 3: Command the AI to propose a multi-stage logic plan first. * Result: You catch logic errors in the thinking phase, not the execution phase. Part 3: The Clarification Loop * Step 1: Use a trigger phrase: "Ask me 3 clarifying questions about specific edge cases." * Step 2: Refine the approach based on those answers. * Result: You get production-ready Python, not "tutorial-grade" snippets. The Bottom Line: If you aren't providing context files and enforcing a "plan-first" workflow, you’re leaving 80% of the model's capability on the table. Follow @vishisinghal_ for more. arXiv is getting stricter about AI-generated research papers. If a paper clearly shows that the author blindly copied content from AI without checking it… The author could now face: • A 1-year ban from arXiv • Extra review requirements for future submissions What counts as “bad AI use”? Things like: • Fake references made by AI • Hallucinated citations • Raw ChatGPT/LLM text left inside the paper • Incorrect or misleading information Important part: arXiv is NOT banning AI tools. They’re saying: “If you use AI, you are still fully responsible for the final content.” This is a big moment for AI in education and research. Because AI can help people work faster… But blindly copy-pasting AI output is becoming a serious problem. Do you think AI-generated research papers should be allowed? 👇

Claude Code costs $200 a month. OpenCode does the same thing for free. 150,000 developers already made the switch. Here is everything you need to know about the open-source tool that is quietly becoming the most important story in developer tools. OpenCode is the most-starred open-source agentic coding tool in 2026 ,over 150,000 GitHub stars, 850+ contributors, 11,000+ commits, and roughly 6.5 million developers using it monthly. It does what Claude Code does read your codebase, edit files, run commands, manage git, chain multi-step tasks but lets you plug in any model from 75+ providers, including fully local inference via Ollama at zero API cost. Zero. Not $20. Not $100. Not $200. Zero. Here is the head-to-head comparison nobody is posting clearly enough. **Claude Code:** Anthropic models only. $20 to $200 per month. Closed source. No desktop app. No local inference. No LSP integration. **OpenCode:** 75+ model providers. Free as a tool, you only pay the model provider directly. MIT licensed. Desktop app included. Local inference via Ollama. LSP integration built in. That last one, LSP is the feature that makes engineers stop and read the spec twice. OpenCode spawns Language Server Protocol servers and feeds compiler diagnostics back to the model after every edit. If the agent introduces a TypeScript type error, the next round includes the error and the model self-corrects. This is unique to OpenCode in 2026. Claude Code does not feed LSP diagnostics into the loop by default. The agent catches its own type errors. Automatically. Before you see them. Claude Code does not do this. Here is where the story gets interesting. In January 2026, Anthropic blocked OpenCode from using Claude via OAuth login, an attempt to protect their market. OpenCode doubled its stars in two months. The relationship between them is now openly adversarial. Anthropic tried to slow OpenCode down. It backfired. OpenCode has pulled far ahead on GitHub stars 150,000 versus Claude Code's 71,500. But Claude Code dominates actual usage 4% of all public GitHub commits, 135,000 per day. The architectures could not be more different. Claude Code is a vertical integration masterpiece. OpenCode is a horizontal flexibility play. Both numbers tell a real story. Claude Code is more polished. Its agentic loop is tighter. Its integration with Anthropic's models is deeper. SWE-bench performance the hardest real-world coding benchmark still favors Claude Code. Developers who need maximum accuracy on complex tasks and are willing to pay for it choose Claude Code. Developers who want freedom choose OpenCode. OpenCode supports 75 plus model providers. Costs span from zero dollars using Ollama with a local model to whatever heavy API usage costs. Most developers running OpenCode with Claude Sonnet 4.6 via direct API pay around six dollars per day, a fraction of the subscription cost. Six dollars per day on heavy use. Versus $200 per month for Claude Code Max. For the same underlying model. The difference is who you pay and how much they mark it up. Here is the honest caveat. Claude Code if you want Anthropic's polish, SWE-bench accuracy, and the tool behind 4% of all GitHub commits. OpenCode if you want provider freedom, 6.5 million monthly active developers worth of community support, and a desktop app. After January 2026, the choice is also political. Open ecosystem versus vertically integrated. Community versus corporation. Flexibility versus polish. 150,000 stars says the community has already voted. You just have not heard about it yet.
