On the auspicious occasion of #LabourDayIndia and #MaharashtraDay2026, the @BOIOAMNG organised a Comprehensive Health Check-Up Camp at BOI Staff Quarters, Nerul with a pious motto of promoting health awareness and preventive care among officers and their families. The Inaugural Session of the camp was graced by CGM Shri P. K. Giri ji, along with GMs Shri B. Kumar and Shri Atul Satpute, and DGMs Shri Shashikant Sadhbhartia, Shri Amit Ranjan Singh, Shri Amitabh Shukla, Shri Mahesh Kanvinde, and Shri Manish Kar Ray, whose august presence added great encouragement and motivation to this noble initiative. *The camp benefited more than 400 officers and their kith and kin residing in the quarters and nearby areas*. The programme turned out to be thunderously successful, reflecting the strong spirit of unity and collective well-being. We extend our heartfelt thanks for the ecstatic response received from the residents of Staff Quarters, Nerul, along with many other officers residing in the vicinity, whose enthusiastic participation made this noble initiative a grand success.

🚨 What Banking Experts Say About New PLI Scheme 1. Experts say PLI is a good idea, but it should be given to all employees. It should reward those who actually bring business to banks. 2. There are concerns about why PLI is being given only to Scale IV and above officers. Experts believe there may be hidden reasons behind this decision. 3. Some experts feel the government wants to privatize PSU banks but is facing challenges. As a result, there may be efforts to bring in professionals from the private sector for senior positions like Regional Head or Circle Head. 4. According to this view, PLI could be used as a way to offer higher salaries to such private sector candidates. 5. Experts also warn that this approach may gradually lead to internal privatization of public sector banks. 6. They further caution that work pressure on junior staff may increase. There could be more cases of harassment and toxic work culture. Unions may find it difficult to protect employees, as senior officials may push harder to achieve targets for PLI, which could also increase the risk of irregularities/frauds.

Lack of clear advancement opportunities is a leading cause of voluntary turnover, with many employees quitting due to perceived inequities & favouritism. A transparent and logical promotion process is essential to eliminate favoritism, build trust, and motivate employees.
Nilesh Pawar@nilesh_pawar15

A very pertinent observation by @TamalBandyo ji. Transparency in promotions is not merely an HR ideal—it is central to morale, credibility, and institutional integrity. When processes lack clarity and uniformity, it inevitably impacts motivation and trust at all levels. As stakeholders in the system, we strongly believe that well-defined, objective, and transparent promotion frameworks are essential for sustaining both performance and fairness in all PSBs. This is an area that deserves serious, system-wide introspection and reform. @aiboc_in

We are aware that our @BankofIndia_IN has been providing Shelter Home facilities at Macropolo Building, Lalbaug, Mumbai, for employees and their kin who visit Mumbai for treatment of terminal illnesses, which required continous stay. This initiative has been a meaningful support system for families during extremely challenging times. In the last Central Welfare Committee (CWC) Meeting, a proposal was put forward to expand this noble facility to additional locations so that more beneficiaries can be supported across regions. We are pleased to inform you that, in line with the CWC’s proposal, the Bank has decided to extend Shelter Home facilities at the following locations: 1) An additional flat at Macropolo Building, Lalbaug, Mumbai 2) A flat at Nerul -Mumbai 3) A flat at STC Noida -Delhi We understand that necessary formalities have been completed and the facilities are expected to become operational shortly. Further, we are informed that properties at Vellore/Chennai and other important locations where people come for medical treatment are also being actively explored to widen the reach of this compassionate initiative in the near future. Being a part of the Central Welfare Committee, @fboioa_india sincerely expresses our heartfelt gratitude to the Bank Management for their unconditional support and for the swift implementation of this important welfare proposal. *This initiative reflects the Bank’s continued commitment towards employee welfare beyond professional boundaries.

The article serves as a timely reminder that trust remains the cornerstone of banking. Sustainable growth must be anchored in ethical sales practices, transparent disclosures, and governance frameworks that balance business objectives with fiduciary responsibility. Thank you @TamalBandyo ji for bringing this critical issue to the forefront. #BankersTrust @aiboc_in @raghav_chadha @suchetadalal

Any review of the banking system for Viksit Bharat must start with ground realities—staff shortages, rising workload, and long-pending demands like #5DaysBanking. Strong banks need respected and rested bankers.Preparing banks for Viksit Bharat is impossible without addressing the concerns of bank employees. Structural reforms must go hand in hand with humane work conditions, fair policies, and institutional strengthening. @aiboc_in
