We strongly condemn the alleged summoning of two medical students from Government Medical College Anantnag after they made a video demanding a stipend hike. Is asking for a fair stipend a violation of any norm ? @OmarAbdullah @sakinaitoo

While political rivalry offers easy targets, some matters transcend opposition point-scoring. This particular issue touches upon individual dignity, self-worth, and a community's already fragile trust in constitutional guarantees, shaped by a deeply complex regional history. Jammu and Kashmir, as a Union Territory, carries a distinct administrative accountability. The responsibility resting on the Central Government is therefore not merely political but moral. One hopes that those in power recognise the weight of that responsibility and respond accordingly.

Omar Govt’s failing health system stands exposed once again — even MBBS & BDS interns are being forced to struggle for their rightful stipend hike. While young doctors serve the people of J&K, Omar Abdullah’s government continues to deliver only delays, excuses and administrative apathy.

Their only “fault” was raising the genuine issue of low intern stipend in J&K. What exactly did they violate by speaking for their rights ? Requesting @DrBilalbhatIAS Sb to intervene @FAIMA_INDIA_ @DrSuneem @DrDhruvchauhan @kntnewsagency @RisingKashmir @iamsahilparray

Our medical interns deserve stipend at par with rest of the states. Current stipend is too little, simply inhuman and an insult to their hardwork. It is high time Minister incharge who made promises on such basic issues need to fulfill them too. @sakinaitoo

Doctors at GMC Anantnag who flagged their legitimate demand of increasing stipend for medical interns in J&K have been ‘summoned’ for ‘violating’ college norms. Pray tell what rule have they broken? Is articulating one’s grievance peacefully also a crime? Our doctors deserve dignity along with redressal of their genuine demands. Unbelievable that Health Minister is instead ensuring they are punished. Intolerance at its peak. Request @DCAnantnag @DrBilalbhatIAS for their kind intervention. @JPNadda @FAIMA_INDIA_
