You can combine the power of variables with pre-request scripts. For example, if you have organised your Api requests into folders, you can set folder level pre-request scripts to set environment variables like below!

These variables can be environment specific or collection specific, and you have the option of choosing it while setting the request url. Below is an example environment with two variables defined.

Variables in postman can be very powerful. It will save you the hassle of duplicating requests for each environment.
