Indians and Pakistanis have a ZERO understanding of ethnicity and nationality. Hindi-Urdu speakers have lost all connections to their native ethnicities and now only rely on national and religious identities. Panjabi will always remain ethnically Panjabi regardless of his nationality. Panjab is way ancient than India.

Is this just strong regional pride or a very calculated branding move where "Punjab" is the identity he wants to push internationally? I have seen, it's becoming a pattern across his interviews.
