People in #Sadda, #Kurram tribal district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sunday nigh raised white flags, calling for end to firing after militants launched a major attack on a police station, according to locals. There are reports of police and civilian casualties. The banned #TTP claimed responsibility. Locals said militants used heavy weapons to attack the police station in Mir Bagh area in central Kurram. Police returned fire that led to exchange of gunfire. Police station incharge Shabir Ahmad is among the injured. A civilian Hekmat Shah was killed in the attack.

Most people don't know but these security forces members were killed in retaliation for the famous execution video from Swat in which the Pakistani army lined up civilians and killed them.

I always found it interesting. Swat TTP became much better at ambushing and fighting once they were ousted from Swat With their safe bases from Kunar - they launched some of the most sophisticated attacks in against Pakistani SFs northern KP Like this 2011 attack in lower DIR
