This work was started by @Dr_PhillC during his PhD, but mostly completed by @AlSuperlopez as a 2-year @LaidlawFoundatn undergraduate summer project, working in collaboration between my soft materials laboratory and the stem cell group of @genever_lab.

In our latest research paper, we produce photopatterned hybrid gels in cell culture trays and demonstrate their ability to control heparin release & stem cell proliferation. Such materials have future potential in growing structured tissue.
