As 2024 comes to an end, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially submitted my PhD thesis I discovered that the Western diet impairs liver function but does not lead to #obesity or #diabetes in bank voles, regardless of the voles’ genetic background. Here’s to new beginnings!

Excited to share that the preprint of my first PhD article is now available! Check it out here: dx.doi.org/10.2139/ssrn.4… It explores the effects of short-term consumption of a Western diet 🍪🍔on aerobic exercise performance in animals 🐭with inherently distinct metabolic rates.

Alternative presentation @EMPSEB29: Delegates highly preferred the high-fat bar. In a food choice test, I checked the preference of bank voles from different genetic backgrounds for a high fat or high protein diet. All voles preferred the high fat diet Which diet do you like?
