Incredible clip on how @karpathy uses OpenClaw to run his house via texts.
You can ask agents to find connected hardware at your home (like Sonos speaker), and they'll search the network + hack in for you 🤯
You can control music, lights, HVAC, security...w/o writing any code.

@GeoffreyHuntley some of the ideas in this article brought me back to our "RAD is back" discussion at the AI Tinkerers hackathon ciridae.com/blog/software-…

Today we’re launching the Ciridae Transformation Index: our evaluation of how over 5,000 portfolio companies across 147 leading private equity firms.
- Who’s going to benefit - and who’s way offside?
- Where are the safe havens?
- Which businesses are under the most pressure to transform?
- What companies look more attractive through an AI lens?
- Which parts of the market are priced correctly, and where could potential opportunity lie?
We’re publishing it all at ai-transformation.fyi - check it out!

@dexhorthy I think it will be more like eight weeks. I’d hate to be at the next board meeting… “so what’s the pivot now that the frontier labs have disintermediated your tool?”

@GeoffreyHuntley Been to a few meetups here. It’s like being in the Hackers movie from the 90s

@GeoffreyHuntley Fair, I never go above the city cut (knowing that there's a salad course, etc.)

I'm starting a church - not because we need another religion, but because AI has some aspects that we need to be talking and thinking about. Foundational document is here: github.com/robot-whispere…

Technology is a flat circle - the “it works on my machine” problem is just a present today as it was thirty years ago when I started working as a professional developer! From Niels @union_ai

Matches the journey I took last year with coding agents. Numerous aligned takes from the @kilocode CEO this morning!

@dexhorthy There’s a Mark Twain quote for this (as there is for many themes)

@GeoffreyHuntley Or the SPARC orchestration from Reuven Cohen ...

@dexhorthy I’ve been getting some nice results mixing the brainstorming skill from obra/superpowers with the RPI skills and agents from CodeLayer. YMMV

working on a thing I"m calling "autotune for planning" because we realized even with the starter kit RPI slash commands, most people don't get good results from planning because they don't sprinkle in the right magic words to ensure the model asks the right questions vs. just writing the plan file
@compyle_ai just launched and is doing interesting stuff here, seems like they grabbed the core /create_plan command from humanlayer/humanlayer OSS and are wrapping it into a workflow with structured outputs (i think, hard to tell from the demo/free preview)
core problem is instruction following still not good enough even at the frontier, and labs investing in propensity to code over propensity to think/ask.
need to replace control-flow-by-prompt with control-flow-by-control-flow (break up the workflow into deterministic stages instead of one big mega prompt)
12 factor agents is back baby
