Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial hub, has secured a $7.5 million flood insurance policy so some of its poorest residents can access relief when disaster strikes bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved an expansion of the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (PiCNG) to include electric vehicles.
The initiative will now be known as the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles (PiCNG & EV). It will serve as the lead agency coordinating Nigeria’s entire clean mobility strategy, encompassing both gas-powered vehicles and electric vehicles (EVs) across the country.
Under the expanded mandate, PiCNG & EV will continue deployment of CNG infrastructure including Mother and Daughter Stations, Integrated Refuelling Units, CNG vehicles, conversion programmes, and related equipment. At the same time, it will spearhead the development and rollout of electric vehicles, EV charging infrastructure, and associated investments nationwide.
President Tinubu has directed the Executive Chairman of PiCNG & EV to immediately establish a coordinated framework for the rapid deployment of vehicle conversion kits across Nigeria, ensuring they remain affordable and accessible to ordinary citizens.
To achieve this, the initiative will collaborate with CreditCorp Nigeria, financial institutions, and other partners to develop innovative, cost-effective financing models that make conversions widely available to the public.
Additionally, the President has ordered the accelerated rollout of Mobile Refuelling Units (MRUs) to quickly expand access to CNG.

NO FULANI HAS EVER RULED KWARA BERORE AS GOVERNOR SINCE CREATION OF THE STATE.
For decades, there have been these misconceptions about the ethnic origin of past and present civilian Governors of Kwara State. Some are deliberate misinformation, others are sheer ignorance laced with arrogance.
I decided to do this research in the light of a viral Facebook post about the ethnic origin of Senator Saliu Mustapha (the rumoured APC consensus candidate for 2027 governorship, who himself is Yoruba 100% by the way but this is a story for another day because this post isn't about him at all)
Now, let's clear this issue once and for all. All the information supplied here are facts based. Anyone who has a superior fact should counter it or rest finally!
The following are civilian Governors of Kwara over the years since the creation of the state and their ethnicities.
Adamu Atta - IGALA (now in KOGI) - 1979
Cornelius Olatunji Adebayob - ISIN LGA, IGBOMINA, YORUBA - 1983
Salaudeen Olatinwo - OFFA LGA, IBOLO, YORUBA - 1985
Shaaba Lafiaji - LAFIAGI LGA, NUPE - 1992
Alabi Lawal Omo'laderin - AFONJA, YORUBA, ILORIN - 1999
Bukola Saraki - YORUBA, ILORIN - 2003
Abdulfatah Ahmed - IFELODUN LGA, IGBOMINA, YORUBA - 2011
Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman - YORUBA, ADEWOLE OLOGBIN, ILORIN WEST - 2019
So, why are people getting themselves worked up? Yes, Ilorin (not the whole of Kwara State) is being ruled by a Fulani traditional ruler, but Kwara political leadership since the creation of the state till date has been DOMINATED by the YORUBA of Kwara, and of ILORIN!
I challenge anyone with a contrary view to come forth and let a factual, responsible debate begin!

HOW TO BRING OUT THE BEST IN YOUR HUSBAND
A great marriage is not just about finding the right partner—it’s about bringing out the best in the one you chose. Every man has greatness inside him, but often, it takes a loving, intentional wife to help draw it out.
Here are 12 practical ways to inspire, encourage, and support your husband to be the man God created him to be:
1. 📍Celebrate His Best Qualities
Make a list of the things you admire about your husband—his kindness, work ethic, humor, faith, or any strength you’ve seen over the years. Revisit this list together every now and then to remind yourselves of why you fell in love. Share those positive traits with friends and family to publicly honor him.
2. 📍Cover Him in Prayer
Pray daily for his health, wisdom, protection, and growth. Use Scripture to pray specifically for his challenges and dreams. This is one of the greatest gifts you can give your husband.
3. 📍Pray Before Tough Conversations
Before discussing sensitive issues, ask God for the right words, a calm spirit, and a respectful tone. This keeps conflicts from turning into battl£s.
4. 📍Show Him Deep Respect
Respect is oxygen to a man’s soul. Value his opinions, support his decisions, and never belittle him—especially in public.
Don't compare him to other men: Praise and see him as the best. When you make a mistake, be quick to say, “I’m sorry.”
5. 📍Give Him Your Full Attention
Put down your phone, turn off distractions, and look into his eyes when he speaks. This small act tells him, You matter to me.
6. 📍Speak With Calmness and Kindness
Even when correcting or disagreeing, choose gentle, respectful words (Ephesians 4:15). Your tone can either build trust or tear it down.
7. 📍Support His Leadership
Encourage him to lead the family. Ask for his opinion on big and small matters, listen without interrupting, and show that you value his input.
8. 📍Smile Often
A genuine smile when he comes home can instantly change the atmosphere of your home. Let him know you’re happy to see him. 😊🤗
9. 📍Serve Him Intentionally
Little acts of service—like making his favorite meal or preparing his coffee—speak love in powerful ways. Treat him like he’s your king, and he will treat you like his queen.
10. 📍Stand Behind His Dreams
Believe in his goals, whether they’re for business, ministry, or personal growth. Be his biggest cheerleader and help him strategize when needed.
11. 📍Keep Intimacy Alive
Physical affection matters—hugs, kisses, and regular l0vemaking strengthen emotional bonds and remind him he’s desired.
12. 📍Protect and Build Him Up
Never expose his weaknesses to outsiders. Offer constructive feedback privately and in love. Praise his wins, big or small, and celebrate his efforts as much as his achievements.
📍In Conclusion:
When you intentionally honor, respect, and encourage your husband, you create an atmosphere where he wants to love you more, and give his very best to your marriage.
